The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing lactation assessment, management, education and instruction to all inpatient lactating women and to community-based outpatients in the form of consultations, rental or sale of lactation equipment and supplies, telephone triage, and prenatal education as appropriate. Qualifications

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the burn program, including staffing, patient flow, resource utilization, and coordination of care across the continuum.

Primary Duties:
Prepares patients for scan. Reviews patient records for orders, exam history, lab work, and allergies, and positions patients on the scan table. Establishes I.V. site for contrast infusion and administers oral, rectal and I.V. contrasts. Consults with Radiologist prior to administering I.V. contrast for bolus I.V. injections. Monitors patients during injection for evidence of contrast reaction.
Enters patient and exam data into x-ray computer system and performs computed scan images. Assists Radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages. Informs Radiologist of scan results when anomalies or abnormalities are visible. Schedules patient exams and revises daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams from MedSTAR, ER, and other units.
Cleans and maintains an aseptic working environment for each patient. Films CT scan images and archive exams onto tape or optical disk. Ensures adequate supplies are available and is responsible for replenishing supply levels.
Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students. Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, exam, and other necessary functions are correctly entered and maintained.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or one to three years formal training in Radiologic Technology.
Completed competency-based training in CT.
1-2 years job related experience.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration.

Primary Duties:
Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporates patient and family in the goals setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment. Consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
Completes appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately and timely documents and charges for patient care activities considering our evolving health care environment, painting a clear picture of the patient's course of care including focused initial evaluation/plan of care that establishes baseline and goals, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Manage an accurate schedule. Demonstrates a professional commitment to provide frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy in our patient consumer driven environment.
Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students. Assists with orientation and mentoring of inexperienced staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.

Experience in policy making with at least one of the following House or Senate committees: Senate Finance, House Ways & Means, Senate Health Education Labor Pension (HELP), House Energy & Commerce.
Experience co‑developing and implementing external engagement strategies with internal Business Partners to advance commercial policy priorities.

Performs occupational therapy interventions consistent with home care protocols. Interventions reflect knowledge of standard home care supplies and equipment used in patient care.
Independently organizes patient assignments for completion of tasks within acceptable time frames. Seeks assistance from OT III Rehab Care Manager or supervisor regarding complex patient problems. Maintains necessary clinical records collects data and prepares reports on activities. Submits completed admission records within 48 hours and daily records within 24 hours with Ninety-five percent accuracy on technical audit. Recertification completed prior to recert date. Maintains caseload mix and productivity for acuity level of patients.
Initiates and participates in regularly scheduled case conferences; includes all disciplines. Includes patient and family in mutual goal setting and care plan revision.
Maintains effective working relationships with other departments and participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and agency in community outreach efforts. Enhances growth and development and enriches personal knowledge and skill through participation in educational programs and affiliations.
Performs history and assessment related to an episode of patient illness to determine the patient's habilitation/rehabilitation needs. Works with Surgeons Anesthesiology Nurses/Nurse Leaders Business Manager Scheduling Supervisor and other ancillary departments and staff to plan organize direct and control the daily activities involved in the effective and efficient management of the OR schedule while providing continuous and high-quality service for the perioperative patient. Ensures ORs have the necessary tools equipment and resources needed to successfully operate surgical procedures. Partner with Anesthesia Leader to accommodate emergency and stand-by cases. Responsible for Control Desk goals objectives policies and procedures staffing budgets fiscal management and quality improvement insuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day operations of running the OR schedule as well as the activities of the weekday Control Desk staff and evening night and weekend Supervisors. .
Collaborates with the Anesthesiology Medical Director and Anesthesiologist in charge to ensure that the schedule runs efficiently in accordance with policies and procedures.
Participates in the development of scheduling policies and procedures and schedule preparation; adheres to team limitations case types urgent/emergent demands and case start times and length. Works with healthcare providers outside of the department to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.
Monitors the allocation and utilization of personnel based on continual changes in patient population/needs as it pertains to providing the best level of patient care while identifying savings opportunities.
Manages and controls expenditures within established budgets and works with the OR Business Manager and Scheduling Supervisors to proactively manage the OR schedule.
Monitors the quality of service and utilization standards and assumes specific responsibility for patient care at the department level.
Investigates and resolves patient/family/Surgeon concerns regarding patient care; and develops plans of action to improve programs where necessary.
Attends division meetings and participates on hospital committees and task force as requested.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and development in the field of nursing through reading the appropriate literature and attending related seminars conferences etc.
Promotes Pathway to Excellence standards through daily practice.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
Associate's degree in Nursing required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
1-2 years operating room experience required
3-4 years progressive management experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required
CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
CNOR - Certified Operating Room Nurse preferred
