Wytheville Community College is seeking a Student Support Services (SSS) Outreach Advisor. This position is federally funded and works with low-income, first-generation college students. The position is housed on the Wytheville campus with occasional work at off-campus sites. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Assisting participants with course selection and registration, financial literacy information, transfer process, career and internship information, and completing Financial Aid and scholarship applications;
* Developing and facilitating informational workshops to program participants;
* Assisting students in completing the online FAFSA form;
* Inputting documentation and generating reports from the Student Support Services database;
* Office Management such as maintaining files, answering phones, and ordering supplies;
