Basic Job Functions:
The Nucor- Hertford Technical Academy is a training program designed to teach electrical maintenance fundamentals and to train a person with a high school diploma (or GED) to the level of a maintenance electrician within a two-year (27 month) training period. The training program is a compilation of education, culture, ideas and current training programs that exist throughout Nucor. This training provides the necessary classroom instruction and includes structured hands-on training to ensure the person is prepared to enter the workforce as a Maintenance Electrician. Responsibilities will include hands-on assignments working with experienced Nucor- Hertford Maintenance Team Members. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
*Note: The Nucor- Hertford Technical Academy is located and administered at Nucor Steel- Hertford County in Cofield, NC. All classroom work will be administered at a local community college with on-the-job training in Cofield, NC. This posting is different from the Nucor Technical Academy which is located and administered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Training Program Requirements:
Current transcript (2.75 GPA preferred) including the first semester of your senior year in high school if still enrolled in high school.

Registered Behavior Technician job responsibilities include:
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training
Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the client's individualized treatment plan built by BCBA/BC
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols
Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by BCBA/BC
Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and appropriately report all critical incidents and safety concerns

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.
In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping children with autism reach their full potential. You will need to be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment. We will provide comprehensive training so that you are equipped and empowered to help each child, even if you don't currently have experience. Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, so this role is not for the weak of spirit, mind, or body. Part of the joy of working with kids is exercise! Our clients move, so you need to be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range: $16-20 per hour and goes up based on experience, certification level, and highest level of education.
Requirements:
Passionate about helping children with autism
Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
18+ years of age
High school diploma or GED
Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
Ability to pass a pre employment background check
Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements
