Certified dietary manager job description

Qualifications:

- Certified Dietary Manager certification and a high school graduate degree or equivalent to; and two (2) years supervisory experience in food service operations in health care industries
- One (1) year supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling
- Maintains current Certification in Nutrition satisfying requirements from local, state and federal agencies
- Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
- Competent in organizational, time management skills

This position will do all of the ordering, receiving, auditing, training and monitoring the dietary staff at Klein. This position will also help the dietary staff and fill in when needed.

Galley Cook/Dietary- Provide quality, nourishing meals to residents, visitors and employees in a safe and sanitary environment, prepares food according to recipes, production sheet, diet restrictions in a timely, safe and sanitary manner. Operates and cares for equipment needed for cooking. Helps in any other capacity requested to fulfill needs of customers.

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Our community has an opportunity for a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM). The CDM will:

+ Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department

+ Ensure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis

+ Ensure the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

+ Manage the requisitions and inspection of food, supplies, and equipment, maintain stock levels

+ Ensure standards of quality are met while achieving the department budgetary, recruiting, training, supervising

+ Manage dietary staff to ensure effective and efficient department operations

+ An Associates degree in Food Service Management or Nutrition (DT or DTR) or a 4-year degree in Nutrition or similar area preferred
