Reporting to the Director of Spiritual Care, works as a member of the Spiritual Care Team to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient program of Spiritual Care services to patients, their loved ones and staff of all or no faith traditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Must be certified, or eligible for certification, as a Board-Certified Chaplain by and in good standing with a national chaplaincy certifying body, such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, and the Spiritual Care Association.This certification requires a college degree, a master's level degree in a field related to health care chaplaincy, a minimum of four units of clinical pastoral education required, and a rigorous professional and per review process. The Interfaith Chaplain provides and coordinates spiritual services including worship, education, counseling, direction, support, and crisis intervention for the diverse needs of the WCC population. The Interfaith Chaplain's role is to be a non-judgmental, caring influence in the lives of all individuals, as well as a visible model of respect and sensitivity for each person in spiritual need, assuring equal status and protection for all religions. You will support fellow servicemembers during their most joyful and most difficult moments.
