We are currently seeking a Civil Design Technician 2 in our Greenwood Village office. As a Civil Design Technician 2, you will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants to provide civil design solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting engineers and other industry professionals to prepare models and drawings for civil engineering projects. This position will be expected to work within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Core Responsibilities • Request clarification from the designer on items that are not clear on markups or instructions for drafting purposes • Assist engineers and designer with field measurements of existing plans and prepare drawings from field data • Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress • Analyze low to medium complexity design tasks and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering; Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG • Prioritize safety in all aspects of design work; Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with civil designs • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals Required Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, primarily Civil 3D but experience with Bentley OpenRoads is a plus • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Education and Experience • Associates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred • 2 years of experience minimum required, 3 preferred, in the civil engineering consulting or construction industry Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises * This position is not eligible for sponsorship* Salary Range: $50,000 - $69,000.
