Prepares input for computer to generate actual machine control program. This position requires following standard work instructions of each required specification ensuring quality production of parts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Edits and troubleshoots G code programs as well as makes adjustments to tooling offsets based on knowledge and experience. Performs set up operations for all types of work orders per SMED process sheet. Validates unproven CNC programs for first time manufacture. Edits programs at the machine; includes processes and tooling to ensure finished products are in specification. Reviews production orders for machining jobs and determines dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces; requires reviewing data sheets, blueprints and materials. Performs complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of parts. Provides technical expertise and support to CNC Operators to solve production problems and increase efficiency. Collects and records Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as required by inspection methods for each order to ensure quality standards are met.
