Operate multiple CNC machines efficiently and simultaneously, as required. Troubleshoot and resolve machining and setup issues independently. Perform setups including adjusting multiple offsets on machining centers. Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation. Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints. Understand, modify, and execute programs using G & M code. Apply basic math skills for measurements, offsets, and part adjustments. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and final part inspections using standard precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Follow all company safety protocols and best practices. Interpret and adhere to the production schedule and job priorities. Effectively communicate with team members regarding job status, issues, and quality concerns. Responsibilities and Duties Program, set up and operate large CNC and manual lathes while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and strict tolerances Set-up which includes using overhead cranes to align large work pieces Produce parts to print holding tight tolerances Inspect machined parts to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and other measuring tools and devices Communicate with supervisors, engineering, quality control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues Maintain cleanliness throughout work area Be a Team Player Qualifications and Skills REQUIRED: 4 YEARS of MACHINING AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE in a Job Shop environment Strong blueprint reading and an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces Proficient math skills, up to and including trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and verify measurements Demonstrated ability to use a variety of inspection tools Knowledge of manufacturing process, machine tooling and fixturing, set-up, and preventative maintenance Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with bending, stooping, and reaching All personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes. etc.) Company Benefits and Perks Paid lunches Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Company paid Life Insurance Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Referral Program Caliber Manufacturing is an equal opportunity employer.
