SUMMARY:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the machining operations required

Program, edit, and optimize CNC machine code using CAM software and or manual programming

EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role, with a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming.
Experience with different CNC controller manufacturers such as Mazak, Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.
Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Extensive knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam).
Familiarity with various CNC machines (mills, lathes, turning centers, etc.) and their operations.
Ability to operate precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop new machining processes to produce new parts or parts that have yet to be produced on the CNC equipment. Review part prints to identify tooling and fixture needs, developing new fixtures or altering existing fixtures as needed. Write new CNC programs, complete initial setup and troubleshoot the new process.
* Set-up and install tooling necessary for parts production as directed by the Machining Team Leader.
