CNC Machine Operator Pay:
$20/hr
CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Programs CNC machine to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. These CNC Machines include Burn Table, Angle/Beam Line, Wheel-a-brator and Coper.
Load CAD drawn CNC programs with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
Load and unload structural steel from machine with overhead crane.
Remove burrs from parts. Clear scrap shavings and debris from machine when required.
Package parts for delivery or pick up.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
CNC Machine Operator Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of three months' related experience and/or training.
Experience running an ultra burn table preferred
Ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Good oral/written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
CNC Machine Operator Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. frequently
Considerable amounts of standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
Exposed to temperature fluctuations and a noisy work environment.
Safety & Environmental Factors: All employees are expected to adhere to the company's safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

+ Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerizednumericcontrol (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
+ Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
+ Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
+ Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.

+ Technical trade school degree in machining
+ Training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
+ 5+ years of machining experience
+ 5-axis horizontal or vertical milling experience

Responsibilities & Expectations:
We are looking for a dedicated Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist for IPS, you will identify problems and make necessary adjustments as they relate to industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators. Responsibilities
Full understanding of predictive & proactive maintenance.
Machine parts to specifications following instructions, drawings, blueprints.
Setup CNC milling machine and CNC lathe for pre-written programs
Generate simple programs for milling, drilling, and taping on CNC mill and lathe

Requirements

· Ability to read and understand programs (G code and M code)
· Experience working with stainless steel 300 series
Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, part specifications and GD&T.

Knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power equipment, precision measuring devices and simple cutting tools.
Must have basic machinist tools, and hand tools
· Ability to work in extreme heat and cold conditions
