Kings Engineering have recently invested in new CNC machines and as a result we have a number of exciting opportunities available in our machine shop for CNC Machinists to join our team and produce high-quality components according to specifications.
These roles will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely maintenance service to a wide spectrum of engineering services including Mining, Transport, Construction, Rail, and Manufacturing industries.
The successful candidates will be a skilled CNC machinist with a strong attention to detail and a passion for precision machining. If you are a motivated individual who enjoys working autonomously and takes pride in the delivery of high-quality work, we want to hear from you.
Ideally these roles will cover afternoon shift (Monday to Thursday) and/or be willing to rotate within our range of rosters to ensure operational coverage.

- Inspect first-run piece, maintain measured dimension list. Record and inspect key dimensions for conformance to specifications using micrometer and precision dial gauges.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Machinist Technician for the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). This position is primarily responsible for the operation of and instruction within the mechanical engineering teaching laboratory's machine shop.

The incumbent will also interface with student clubs in the design and manufacturing of club projects and may be called upon to chaperone student clubs in testing.
Responsibilities
* Training and instructing students on proper machining methods and safety in the machine shop, as well as operating and maintaining fabrication equipment.
* Performing and supervising machining operations for undergraduate students and graduate research, including advanced machining processes.
* Maintaining and operating laboratory and shop equipment, including CNC mills, CNC lathes, laser cutters, 3D printers, mechanical and electronic instrumentation, and computers interfacing with instrumentation/equipment.
* Providing assistance for students in the design and implementation of research projects, including holding machining and CAM consultations for student projects.

Position Overview
