Responsibilities:

Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection.

Observe machine trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure programs and machinery function as needed.
Skills:
5 - 10 years CNC Mill programming.
Previous experience working in a job-shop manufacturing environment.
Expert hands-on knowledge of CAD/CAM and Siemens NX software operation.
An expert level of programming prototype / one off components on 3 and 4-axis mills, and multi-axis mill-turn machines.
Working knowledge of tool path creation, speeds/feeds, cutting tool selection

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a CNC Programmer with strong Machinist skills and the ability to utilize Mastercam.
The ideal candidate has 10 years' experience in the industry, with at least 5 doing setup and 5 doing programming.
We work with Haas and CMS machines and with Haas and Fanuc controls.
Write programs in Mastercam for complete parts including fixture, jigs, tools, and work-aids for any setups required.
Ability to operate all machines with minimal direction
Run multiple CNC machines simultaneously
Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine or with CAM programming
Experience and familiarity with 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
Review all engineering, work instructions and affiliated tooling for clarity and quality
Work well with CNC team members
Experience with set up and precision hand tools
Demonstrated ability with completing work orders and meeting stringent customer timelines
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
Must have experience with aerospace components
Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up with 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Programming using Mastercam
Experienced with Haas and Fanuc

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MACHINIST 1
Job Traveler Orders:
Read to understand work orders.
Inspect materials, equipment, tools, and machines prior to beginning work; if nonconformance present, work to resolve in timeliest possible fashion.
Advise supervisor when inventory or maintenance is impacted.
Properly select and use manual mills, lathes, drills, and other equipment according to on-site training.
Safely set-up (installing tools, fixtures, and materials) and operate 3, 4, & 5 axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills.
Independently selects and loads appropriate programs from network.
Understand and edit G code and M code in programs.
Execute precision machining according to customer specifications and work order instructions.

Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
Use micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gage.

Successfully performed all duties and possesses all skills of the Machinist 1 position.
Journeyman-level experience in CNC machine setup and operation. Must have the ability to independently and efficiently set up and operate any CNC machine in the facility without assistance.
Journeyman-level experience reading, understanding, and editing CNC code.
Journeyman-level experience reading and understanding customer engineering and GD&T
Expertise in using a variety precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, pin-gauges, air gauges, height gauges and comparators to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece by using sequence of operations and set-up requirements from drawings, work orders and verbal instructions.
MACHINIST LEAD
A Machinist Lead is a skilled machinist who oversees the operation of machines, tools, and equipment in the Machining Department. They also train and mentor other machinists, troubleshoot problems, and ensure quality and safety standards.
Successfully performed all duties and possesses all skills of the Machinists 1 and 2 positions.
This team member should be the SME in the shop and can lead by example.
Perform value-added operations to achieve shop KPI's.

Principal Responsibilities
Ability to operate CNC and manual Lathes.
Low quantity runs
Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions; read and understand blueprints, bill of materials, and other specifications to determine product requirements.
Assemble cutting tools in holders, set cutter length, and position in machine spindles; select part holding fixtures and index part as needed to machine as required.
Loads control media in machine control console or enter commands to retrieve pre-programmed machine instructions from database; edit machine speed and feed.
Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications; observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Measures work-piece for conformance to specifications, utilizes override control to correct conditions that are out of tolerance, and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
