Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for executing precise milling operations, editing programs, setting tooling, and inspecting complex parts with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, mechanically inclined, and focused on maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and run CNC mills based on job specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and setup documentation to determine part requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, set tool offsets, and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments
• Make minor edits to CNC programs to ensure optimal machining results

What You'll Do:
The CNC Machinist will manufacture and assemble parts critical for the rapid prototyping of Space Kinetic's core technology, intent is to be able to iterate quickly through different designs, and this role will directly support the engineering team as we head towards flight.
You will work quickly to assimilate into the Space Kinetic culture, understanding our prototyping needs, and start generating CAM packages for manufacturing. You'll begin by utilizing our current CNC Mills and lathes (3 brand new Okumas, and a mix of older machines (Haas, Okuma, Fadal) to produce essential components, aiming to contribute to the next prototype iteration. Ideal candidate will be able to program 3 or 5 or 7 axis in Mastercam and be experienced setting up and operating one or more of the following Okuma Multus B300 Millturn, Okuma Genos M560V-5AX, Okuma Genos M660 CNC machines.
Finally, you will play a pivotal role in building a prototype poised for flight testing, refining and iterating designs to perfection. Your expertise will directly impact the speed and quality of our prototyping efforts, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space today.

**Job Summary:**
