Duties/Responsibilities Of This Position Include
CNC Machinist capable of running both Lathes and Mills
Candidate should be proficient in operating various machine/control configurations and have experience in the manufacture of tool and die parts.

Salary Range: Machinist - Level 4: $32.42 hr - $48.63 hr (Lansdale, PA). Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure accuracy, revision level and validity of production documentation and inspection tools prior to starting a job.

Responsible for deburring all parts after machining operation to meet required specifications.
Maintain correct daily labor time recording and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.

Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and perform basic preventative maintenance activities as required.

Requirements
Professional and Personal Requirements:
7 to 10 years of experience of setting up, proving out, and operating CNC turning, and/or milling, grinding, and gear shaping equipment, including making program edits, tool offsets, and compensations.
Must be able to work independently from blueprints, sketches, oral, or written instructions without supervision or technical guidance.
Must have the skills, ability, and desire to serve as a mentor for shop personnel as needed.
Possess a thorough knowledge of typical shop inspection equipment such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, CMM's, and be proficient with all inspection methodologies.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), metal cutting principles, tooling, and thread nomenclature is required.
Must be proficient in Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Mechanical Drafting and Computer skills in CAD and Solid Works are beneficial.
Possess a working knowledge and the ability to apply the concepts of Lean Manufacturing to achieve continuous production improvements.

CNC Machine Operator II

Job Details: Job Title: CNC Machine Operator II Duration: 12+ Months Pay Range: $25.00 to $27.50 an hour
As a Machine Operator you will work at the Allentown PA Metem, a Client Power business manufacturing plant and operate a variety of production equipment and tooling.
You will also have ownership of safety, compliance, quality, and productivity.
What you'll do:
Set-up and operate and troubleshoot CNC, EDM, and/or ECM machines to perform machining operations, fast hole drilling, graphite shaping on metal castings, forgings and bar stock according to specifications and set-up instructions, applying knowledge of machining methods.
Study blueprint and set-up instructions to determine machining required, dimensional specifications, work procedures and methods.
Determine tool lengths, maintain tool change list and program measuring adjustments.
Install work holding devices such as blocks and tooling on table of machine using hand tools.
Lift work piece on table manually or with other material handling equipment and position and secure work piece on machine table or in holding device.
Select and install tooling, place electrodes in automatic-tool-changer (if required) in sequence specified on process sheet.
Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speed of machining cuts.
Check program at start of each shift.
Inspect first-run piece, maintain measured dimension list.
Record and inspect key dimensions for conformance to specifications using micrometer and precision dial gauges.
What you will bring:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of one-year experience in EDM/CNC/ECM or tooling production or equivalent.
