As a CNC Machinist in our Morgan Hill, CA office you will have responsibility for the assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for the Vertical CNC Machine. We are looking for candidates to work the day shift (7am-3:30pm) and/or swing shift (3:15pm-11:45pm). You will work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. You may communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. You will also check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances and may identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. This position will be reporting to the Machining Center Manager based in Morgan Hill, CA.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-5 years of vertical mill experience OR screw machine experience required
Manual mill/manual lathe experience is a plus
In order to be successful in this role, the following competencies and behavior skills are required:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to read and use Inspection tools
Must have basic general shop mathematics.
Must possess mechanical aptitude skills.

* Ability to machine parts to specification working from CAD files, mechanical drawings and sketches

We're located in Novato, California in northern Marin County, just north of San Francisco and southwest of the beautiful Napa Valley.
The Machine Operators responsibility is, to load and run parts in CNC machines, including computer-controlled mills and lathes. Some minor part assembly and deburr, part inspection, and other related manufacturing tasks may be expected as part of the job.
An ideal candidates will have experience operating CNC machines, good mechanical aptitude, be familiar with inspecting and measuring mechanical parts with calipers and micrometers, have some experience making simple changes to machine offsets, and be able to inspect and replace broken tools and re-offset them. We are willing to train the right candidate.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CNC Programmer with a Certificate in Mastercam to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or individual with foundational CNC programming knowledge to launch their career and grow within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam software for various machining operations (milling, turning, etc.) on multi-axis CNC machines.
* Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to determine machining requirements and optimal tool paths.
* Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for different materials and geometries.
* Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct potential errors, collisions, or inefficiencies before actual machining.
* Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and improve part quality and production efficiency.
* Perform basic machine setup and operation for program testing and validation.
* Document program changes, setup sheets, and operational procedures.
GENERAL:
* Required: Certificate in Mastercam.
* Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings featuring GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [e.g., 30-50] pounds.
* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
