    Machinist II is responsible for performing basic machine setups and operating fabrication machinery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Performs simple setups and operates a variety of machines, tools and other equipment (with major focus on lathes, mills, grinders, honing machines, drill presses, but may also include hydraulic or pneumatic presses, bench grinders, deburring and polishing tools, and manual operations) to produce parts per instructions, blueprints or other technical drawings . Properly maintains and performs minor routine maintenance to machines utilized. Evaluates parts or material by measuring with appropriate instruments and may perform simple testing to validate parts or material conforms to requirements. Documents information as required per the work instruction or as instructed and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor, lead, and/or engineer. Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Supports area organization and fosters a continuous improvement mindset. Adheres to the company's policies and promotes a healthy and positive work culture The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job function. Ability to prove out programs. Setup, program, and operate two CNC Lathes (Okuma). Perform tool adjustment as required. Work with Engineering to make tooling. Able to use inspections tool to inspect parts. Must have knowledge of CNC's, single and Multi-Spindle machine tools such as: ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Handtmann HBZ Trunnion 120, Handtmann HBZ CC 400, Handtmann PBZ HD 600 SNK High Speed Tilt Table UHP-120B,SNK High Speed Horizontal Tilt Table HPS-4B,SNK RB-200F,SNK Vertical Cincinnati 3 spindle gantries, Cincinnati high speed 3 spindle gantries, Cincinnati Vertical Mills OKK Horizontal mills, OKK High Speed vertical mills 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis machines, using Fanuc, Siemens 840D, and Cincinnati 950 controllers. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individuals will have 5 years related work experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment and familiar with our machine line. Must be able to stand for 8 hours in a day/night, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, keen eye-hand coordination, able to be trained and certified as a Forklift & Crane Operator.     Machinist II is responsible for performing basic machine setups and operating fabrication machinery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Performs simple setups and operates a variety of machines, tools and other equipment (with major focus on lathes, mills, grinders, honing machines, drill presses, but may also include hydraulic or pneumatic presses, bench grinders, deburring and polishing tools, and manual operations) to produce parts per instructions, blueprints or other technical drawings . Properly maintains and performs minor routine maintenance to machines utilized. Evaluates parts or material by measuring with appropriate instruments and may perform simple testing to validate parts or material conforms to requirements.
