What You'll Do:
CNC machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, or grinders.
Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments.
Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
Support the activities of operations by setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of machines.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
Support the overall manufacturing process as needed.

Required Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
5-7 years' progressive experience operating drills, lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment.
Ability to read BOMs and work according to blueprints and technical drawings.
Experienced with the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment.
Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and techniques.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
A 2-year trade certificate in machining is a plus.
Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Welding certifications (MIG, ARC, gas welding) are highly desirable.
Prior experience working with extruder gearboxes, industrial machinery, or refurbishment projects.

Summary: The CNC Set up III primary responsibilities will be to perform machine set up and machine operation of various CNC machines as needed. JOB SUMMARY:
Design and develop programs. Setup, check programs and operate automatic NC machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment.
I.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:
High School education supplemented by an on-the-job training program, including outside training.
Knowledge of computers, Windows environment and CAD communications.
Work from complicated drawings, handbook formulas and specifications.
Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements.
Broad knowledge in machine shop practices/techniques plus working knowledge of programming NC machine tools or CNC machining equipment.
Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance fundamentals.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment physica
· Understand program format, work from operational data defining and coding tooling, fixturing and machine arrangements. Arrange, mount and secure tooling.
· Plan operating sequenced to check fixture/work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc. and adjust machine console to correct deviations from program specs.
· Recommend tooling applications/operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.
· May setup for and/or instruct Machine Operators of lower classification, diagnose operating difficulties and make adjustments.
· Work from detailed or involved part drawings or specifications.
· Work is subject to procedures relating to your department.
· Perform other duties as instructed or directed by direct supervisor.
· Responsible and accountable for quality workmanship and accuracy.
· Effectively work with designers providing input to manufacturing capability on newly formed parts.

Responsibilities
Master Machining: Safely setup and operate Haas CNC Mills and Lathes.
Program Expertise: Download and edit CNC programs directly at the machine. Select optimal speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequences based on material and task.
Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to transform design specifications onto the workpiece.
Precision Measurement: Consistently use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and punches to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Setup Proficiency: Perform setups involving blocking, aligning, and securing pieces, utilizing your understanding of jigs and fixtures.
Fabrication Support: Competently use hand, bench, and light machinery for essential tasks like deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records including labor reports, material issues, kit lists, and scrap reports.
Scheduling & Tracking: Understand and adhere to production schedules and track part releases.
Machine Care: Perform routine maintenance on Haas equipment, including managing coolant levels, clearing chips/debris, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year program, OR four or more years of directly related experience, or a combination thereof.
Math & Problem Solving: Solid ability to apply basic math, algebra, and geometry. Must be adept at solving practical problems with limited standardization.
Communication: Ability to effectively interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Multitasking: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
