The RoleWe are seeking a Computer Vision and AI Lead to join the European business arm of SSS System Solutions. Reporting to the System Solutions Engineering Manager, you will lead the development of computer vision and AI algorithms for edge devices over a variety of applications.You will work with Technical Managers to understand customer requirements and propose suitable CV/AI pipelines to meet the needs of the target application and its use cases. You will be responsible for CV/AI algorithm proposals including selection of models and training sets and work with your team of developers to model and optimise the proposed pipelines. You will collaborate closely with embedded software and FPGA engineers to further optimise proposed pipelines for embedded deployment. You will also guide the benchmarking and evaluation of implementations both on PC and embedded platforms and ensure that the proposed solution meets the required performance.This is a leadership role, so you will be expected to engage in the recruitment,management and mentoring of the CV/AI algorithm development team.You will be working with cross-functional teams and multi-cultural teams both in Europe and Japan.

About you You are of a graduate calibre with a PhD in Engineering or Computer Science. You have a strong academic background demonstrating in-depth understanding of the fundamentals and theories of computer vision and artificial intelligence, i.e., image signal processing, feature extraction, pattern recognition, classification, deep neural networks. You also have a minimum experience of 10 years in the application of CV and AI to a range of use cases.It would be highly beneficial, though not strictly required, if you are also experienced in the deployment of CV and AI algorithms onto embedded platforms.You are expected to at least have an appreciation and understanding of theconstraints imposed by running algorithms on edge devices.You're culturally sensitive and able to work remotely and cross functionally using English as the business language - someone who can bring teams together to ensure the best solution is achieved.Add to that enthusiasm for technology plus a pragmatic attitude to deliver and you could go a very long way here.

CAD Technical Lead

KBR is seeking a CAD Technical Lead at our Columbia, MD office. The CAD Technical Lead will work in close collaboration with engineers, designers, and mechanical personnel to prepare a wide variety of manufacturing layout drawings, electrical drawings, schematics, illustrations, three dimensional models and other type of drawings required for technical documentation.

Job Duties:

+ Uses a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical devices, engineering mathematics, manufacturing methods and related drafting practices to develop equipment and accessory fabrication and assembly drawings within established dimensional and weight limits. Performs engineering design work in interpreting general designs prepared by others or in completing missing designs details.

+ Completes technical drawings using 2D & 3D CAD based upon familiarity with the construction and functions of equipment and utilizing knowledge of electronic circuits, controls and components.

+ Completes the most complex and difficult designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.

+ Checks drawings for compliance to engineering requirements and drafting standards as they relate to dimensional tolerances, design layout of form, fit, and function.

+ Provides production CAD support and organizes the CAD environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Five (5) years mechanical drawing, computer-aided design, and illustrative design or commercial art experience. Two (2) years experience with AutoCAD v14 or later is desired.

+ Two (2) years experience preparing and revising technical drawings, schematics, logic diagrams, and block diagrams.

+ Training in Graphics Arts, Industrial Design, or Engineering Design.

+ Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

+ College (or equivalent) training in Graphic Arts, Industrial Design or Engineering Design with a minimum of four (4) years of progressive related experience in engineering design/drafting.

+ Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Vault software. Current release is 2022.
