Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set-up and operate machines including adjustment and/or replacement of tooling, guides, jigs and fixtures.
  • Operate a beveller, saw, burner, laser cutter, shot blaster, robotic welders, or CNC machining center.
  • Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shifts
  • Third: 10:00pm-6:30am Sun-Thur.
  • Overtime available.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Ability to operate forklift and cranes.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder and bander.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper and micrometer.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
  • Ability to convert metric to English.

CNC Operator Openings! Milwaukee area plastic manufacturing company

$17/hr

2nd Shift - 3pm-11pm, Monday - Friday

3rd Shift - 11pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday

Local Milwaukee Company Seeking CNC Operators NOW! The CNC Operator produces machined parts by safely running 3, 5 or 7 axis CNC machines. Prior machine operation experience required. Candidates must submit verifiable work history and or resume and be open to learning machine operation and finishing/assembly/ packaging techniques.

Duties and Tasks:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Logs into all jobs you are assigned to.
  • Reads the Job Traveler and follows requirements.
  • Corrects and updates process instructions for jobs which are not accurately or adequately documented.
  • Verifies machine has a signed sample & current parts being machined match sample.
  • Assesses quality of every part using test fixtures, measuring devices and/or visual observation.
  • Makes sure machine is running at or above established CNC standard.
  • Learning multiple techniques including hand trimming and scraping, polishing, attaching components, etc. To complete parts for shipping per job order.
  • Packages parts, attaches correct shipping labels and labels gaylords properly.
  • Sets up and uses band saw to cut up and trim scrap to an acceptable size.
  • Counts parts accurately. Fills out Daily Management Boards properly.
  • Ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and turned in at the end of the shift.
  • Ensures information is entered into computer accurately.
  • Ensures machine is clean and organized. Makes sure all 5S tools are in place and accounted for and old paperwork and labels are removed from the work area.
  • Ensures clear turnover is given to oncoming operator.
  • Follows all safety procedures to create safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Demonstrates continual improvement in quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.
