Job Description:
Evaluates prescribed imaging and makes requested changes within 24 hours, accurately documenting treatment information in the patient electronic record and utilizing the record and verify system.
Reviews all new starts for consistency prior to treatment, verifying patient positioning and field orientation, and checking the record and verify system for prescription, treatment parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units.
Performs morning Quality Assurance (QA) on the treatment unit, assessing whether all equipment is operating according to physics policy and calling the appropriate person immediately after equipment malfunctions.

* Perform radiographic procedures independently as ordered, achieving a high level of quality and timeliness.
* Ensure imaging orders align with physician protocols to support diagnostics and maintain billing compliance.
* Position patients to obtain the appropriate views of the affected area, following established procedures to ensure patient comfort, care and safety.
* Determine appropriate imaging techniques by selecting the correct voltage, current, and exposure time to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.

* Utilize strong teamwork and communication skills to support efficient workflow and foster a collaborative clinical environment. .

Patient Care

* Perform and record quantity and quality control checks to assure x-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
* Maintain a neat, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times by adhering to established infection control procedures and hygiene protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist with Truebeam experience and ARRT(T) certification for a weekday hospital assignment in adult acute care. Job Details • Work in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department, • All cancer diagnoses in an adult acute care patient population,
• Specialized procedures include Hyperarc, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, DIBH, and Orfit setup equipment,
• Uses Truebeam equipment for treatments,
• EMR systems used are Epic and Aria,
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,
• No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements,
Job Requirements
• Valid ARRT(T) certification required,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist required,
• Previous adult acute care experience required,
• Truebeam experience required,
• Experience with Epic/Aria EMR preferred,
• First-time travelers will not be considered,
• License required if applicable,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include providing highly specialized radiation therapy to a variety of adult cancer diagnoses,
• No blocked scheduling requests will be approved,
• Cannot accept applicants who have worked for the client or its affiliates in the last two years,
• Candidates who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking,
• Up to 10 days of time off are allowed per 13-week contract, but not during blackout periods listed,
• Mandatory completion of pre-assignment modules, typically on the first day,
• Scrubs are required attire while on duty,
• Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible,
