Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is seeking to hire a Case Manager on its Minot, ND, campus.
The Ranch is unlike any place you have worked! We are a place of hope and healing where children with psychiatric and behavioral issues find professional care, compassionate expertise, and new possibilities. Starting Wage: $23.50/hour+ Bachelor's degree (see qualifications); OR $25/hour+ LBSW, Depending on Experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Occasional travel is required.
Responsibilities:
Case Managers at the Ranch oversee the treatment planning process for 8-10 families at a time by:
Actively engaging with youth, families, the Ranch treatment team, and external resources to create and manage a single plan of care for each child.
Monitoring the treatment plan to ensure the child's goals are being met.
Working with a multidisciplinary team to assess the youth's needs and coordinate services.
Providing continuous youth, family, and custodian contact.
Serving as an advocate for youth.
Empowering families by teaching them how to communicate with each other, create daily schedules, and manage behaviors and medications.
Qualifications:
Case Managers at the Ranch:
Hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work
- OR graduating this semester with a Social Work degree
- OR have a degree in a social service field (ie psychology, sociology, etc) and ability to obtain a wraparound certification
Be at least 21 years old.
Pass a thorough background check, including criminal, abuse, and motor vehicle.
Have a current driver's license and insurable driving record.

The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is unlike any place you have worked! We are a place of hope where troubled kids and their families find professional care, compassionate expertise, and new possibilities. In short, we help the kids no one else can-we help them find and become who they are.
Starting Wage: $20/hour plus benefits with option to have on-demand daily pay
Schedule: We are hiring for the following shifts: 10 pm to 8 am awake overnight shift . This is a compressed work week of 10-hour shifts. Must work every other weekend. If part-time is better for you, we can discuss a flexible schedule including 4-6 hour shifts; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts; and split shifts. While we are flexible with shifts, we do have mandatory trainings that are held during normal business hours (M-F, 8 to 5) that must be completed prior to being assigned flex scheduling.
What You Will Do:
As a Residential Treatment Specialist, you are an integral part of our team, requiring the ability to motivate, de-escalate, and coach youth during their time with us and be a key influence on putting our Ranch culture of Purpose, Caring, and Learning into action.

Maintain supervision of youth, providing oversight and care for youth in residential and community settings

Provide information and interact with parents, referring workers, therapists, and other professionals concerning the status of clients
Implement interventions on youth's treatment plans and evaluate progress.

You evaluate our programs, attend trainings, and integrate new practices to ensure our kids and families receive the best care we can provide.
Participate in clinical programming activities with clients (i.e., groups, recreation, therapeutic riding, etc.)
Record observations relating to actions and behavior of youth and maintain records and reports as required, daily documentation, i.e., weeklies, logs
Minimum qualifications/education:
Must be 21 or older at the time of application. High school diploma or equivalent.

Post-secondary studies in social science, psychology, behavioral health, or human service-related fields are preferred but not required.

Job Summary
Manages nursing home staff and nursing activities, including resident care and record-keeping. Manages nursing staff assigned to a particular shift within the nursing home. Takes action regarding provision of resources within the context of shifts or designated time frame. Assigns residents to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the resident's condition and the employee's skill level. Measures employee performance. Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Monitors resident care areas and other nursing home facilities for cleanliness and readiness. Provides nursing care to nursing home residents on an as needed basis. May administer oxygen, basic life support (BLS), possible IVs, or medications as prescribed by a provider. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
For Rural Health Network facilities and Good Samaritan Society (GSS) only, employees who do not possess a Bachelor's degree in the required field, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor's degree in Nursing within five years of hire into position. Job Summary
The Medication Assistant (MA) serves as caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements. Maintains all department specific required certifications. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Iowa: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained.
Minnesota: Must have nursing assistant certification, have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. Successful completion of a state-approved Trained Medication Assistant course.
North Dakota: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provides range of motion and passive exercises. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
The NA aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor
vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of
this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.
