Minimum Qualifications
Current dentalhygienist license in MO and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification

Experienced Hygienist and New Graduates
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Algoa Correctional Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or DentalHygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.
Day shift; 4-10 hour shifts
Qualifications
High school diploma or its recognized equivalent
Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant required
Missouri DA license or ability to obtain license

Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
