Minimum Qualifications
Current dentalhygienist license in NE and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification

Experienced Hygienists and New Graduates
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health

The Role:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate DentalHygienists to join our team at Star City Dental, Lincoln, NE. In this vital role, you will be responsible for oral hygiene cleanings with dental treatments and providing oral health education to our patients. You will utilize your knowledge and expertise to help examine patients' teeth and gums, X-rays, and fluoride treatments. Your primary goal will be to help patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health while assisting the dentist and dental team!
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough oral examinations of patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues
Clean and polish patients' teeth to remove plaque and calculus, focusing on areas that are difficult to reach during regular brushing
Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosing dental conditions and determine the appropriate treatment plans
Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments to protect patients' teeth
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining optimal dental health
Identify and educate patients on periodontal disease risk factors, and develop customized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
Stay up-to-date with advances in dental hygiene techniques and tools through continuous education and professional development
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid DentalHygienist license in the state of Nebraska
Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
Driven attitude to succeed!
Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and equipment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform thorough oral examinations
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other dental professionals

Minimum Qualifications
Current dentalhygienist license in Nebraska and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)

Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems

Physical Requirements
