Primary Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Learn and adapt to the ever-changing hardware and software environments of payment systems and processing
• Test various web applications and modules with complex business logic
• Test/validate file imports, exports, and data transmissions
• Work with various payment hardware devices and POS systems within the lab environment
• Read and understand business requirements and technical design documentation
• Provide assistance or suggestions to influence product design
• Work well with a team to meet deadlines sharing in responsibilities and providing assistance
• Train production support staff and technicians on new products and features, system setup and configuration
• Plan and schedule for upcoming projects and do everything necessary to meet deadlines and commitments
Quality Assurance and Testing
• Create and execute thorough manual test plans, including positive and negative testing, functional testing, and regression tests
• Test efficiently with innovative tools and automation
• Identify defects in the software prior to deployment to a live environment
• Report defects and track their progress through Jira
• Work with engineers on troubleshooting and identifying root causes
Required Skills and Desired ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.Has expertise in testing complex multilayer IT implementations in finance industry Automation mind set and ability to write scripts to automat manual testing effort Ability to write detailed test plan and test cases Tested in highly configurable environment in a multilayer applications suite Strong Experience with Relational (SQL) databases and writes complex queries Identifying and analyzing defects/test results and able to deduce the chain of events leading to a failure.3-8 years of experience in QA and testing Some experience using JIRA, Team City, Octopus Deploy, Rest Assured.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programs as needed

Here's the Gist
In this position within Wolfspeed's Power Device R&D department, you will be leading compact modeling projects for high performance Silicon Carbide power devices, which includes SiC power MOSFETs, JBS diodes and high voltage IGBTs. You will be participating in all aspects of silicon carbide power device development, which include device design and characterization, with an emphasis on physics based compact model (SPICE, Verilog-A) development. You will interact with key customers as well as colleagues from Applications, Device Design, Test and Validation, and New Product Introduction to master understanding of the full product life cycle of the new technologies.

The Day-to-Day:
Lead develop efforts of physics based SPICE models for wide variety of Silicon Carbide power devices, including Vertical Power MOSFETs, JFETs, Capacitors, and Unipolar/Bipolar diodes.Develop new model equations and sub-circuit representations to accurately represent SiC power devices using SPICE or Verilog-A.Participate in developing power device characterization methods for model parameter extraction.Develop testing methodology for model parameter extraction using experimental and virtual (TCAD) structures.Develop new power device model methodologies that enable Monte-Carlo analysis in circuit simulations.Communicate with Applications team and key customers for further refinements of the compact models.

This position is slated to be 6-8 months with a possibility of being 12 months.

• This position is responsible for initiating and leading engineering changes required to maintain product commercialization.
• Your sustaining efforts include small form factor low powered devices, 32 bit microcontrollers, Bluetooth Network Processor, LED/LCD user interfaces, I2C/SPI interfaces, UART communication, low power and battery management. You will be responsible for all aspects of your design change documentation including component specification, engineering simulation and analysis, schematic capture, test procedure development and implementation, V&V Test Plan/Protocol development, and the release of design changes to production
• You will be interfacing with contract manufacturers, supply quality engineers, hardware and embedded design engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical design engineers, and regulatory and quality leads.

Qualifications :
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following capabilities:

Education :

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited university,
Experience :

• 3 years' experience in Life Cycle Management (Change Requests).
• Work with Medical devices is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to solve problems.
• Work with low power battery operated devices.
• Knowledge and experience with Hardware/Software Interface and Hardware Abstraction Layers for Embedded Software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Team player, able to collaborate with multiple functional groups including contract manufacturers, supply quality engineers, hardware and embedded design engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical design engineers, and regulatory and quality leads.
• Knowledge and experience in component specification, electronic circuit design, and module/unit integration test protocols.
• Proficiency with CAD-based schematic capture tools, including library-based component selection, rules checking, and version control disciplines preferred. We currently use Altium & PCAD for schematic capture and PCB layout design.

• This job primarily requires sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must have fine manipulation and grasping skills as well as the ability to reach, twist and bend on a frequent basis to perform the essential functions of the job.
