Current Opportunity: Distribution Account Manager

Havtech Commercial Distribution actively seeks a professional, skilled individual to drive sales growth and enhance our clients’ customer experience. The Distribution Account Manager will be responsible for developing sales activities associated with Commercial Distribution of parts, supplies, replacement equipment products, and accessories for the MD, DC & VA markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.

  • Prospect, acquire, and cultivate new business selling opportunities and relationships related to replacement equipment products, parts, and supplies.
  • Generate budgeted sales; manage mix and pricing to achieve margin goals and grow market share in your assigned territory.
  • Acquire and evaluate market data to develop strategies to maximize sales opportunities and market share, including regular solicitation of customer feedback for Havtech.
  • Develop and execute account-specific business plans to identify the long-term, mutual support required to facilitate strong, profitable, and successful partnerships.
  • Able to collaborate within Commercial Distribution and across all Havtech departments to support overall growth initiatives and ensure the optimal customer experience.
  • Develop a solid knowledge and efficient understanding of Havtech’s products, solutions, operating systems, and tools.
  • Maintain an accurate call history and account sales call activity details within the CRM system.

QUALIFICATIONS & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • A unique combination of education, experience, or demonstrated accomplishments is preferred. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in a technical or business-related field. 3+ years of experience in Sales, OEM Sales, or Marketing.
  • HVAC Industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong sales skills with an understanding of a well-developed sales process. Ability to listen, gain trust and find the best solutions for our customers.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.

Research/analyze by item cost verification and exception resolution, vendor payment terms compliance, electronic invoice review and variance resolution, and general ledger EFT research. Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and external suppliers and vendors. This position will report to the Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting Manager.

* a. EDI Work and Interface File review and error resolution with vendor, OpenText, Warehouse Personnel, and/or Corporate Sales.
* b. Confirming receipt of product.
* c. By item cost verification and exception resolution.
* d. Quantity variance verification and resolution.
* e. Ensure vendor payment terms compliance, with all available terms discounts being applied accordingly.
* f. Vendor communication to advise of and resolve quantity and/or cost variances.
* g. General Ledger EFT account research related to cig, tobacco, and e-cig inventory processing.
* h. General Ledger expense account review for accuracy and reasonableness.

2. Responsible for the proper accounting of all facets of Quik'N Tasty Foods, Inc.'s including, but not limited to:

* a. Perform research of general ledger balances related to prior month activity on the accounts payable reconciliation. Enter vouchers/reclassifying entries accordingly.
* b. Review general ledger reports to ensure dollars recorded are accurate during the EDI invoice creation process. Enter the appropriate reclassifying journal entries.
* c. General ledger review of Transportation and Logistics accounts. This ensures the accurate reflection of freight allowances on the QTD financial statements. Prepare reclassifying general ledger journal entries, as needed. Prepare document to reflect changes and report these to QTD Logistics and Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting management.
* d. Identify inaccurate general ledger account coding related to expense vouchers and prepare reclassifying general ledger journal entries as needed.
* e. Process the accounts payable voucher for the prepayment of tax stamps from the various state and local taxing authorities. The prepayment requires additional processes to be performed after the tax stamps are received into inventory.
* f. Submit requests to Corporate Treasury to have vendor address book and/or banking information updated accordingly.
* g. Process vendor credit memos against product held in vendor credit inventory.
* h. Review the inventory received but not invoiced reporting on a daily or weekly basis (depending on payment terms) and follow-up with vendors as needed.
* i. Provide the QuikTrip Tax department with copies of cigarette, tobacco, and electronic cigarette inventory invoices to assist in the preparation of Quik'N Tasty Foods, Inc.'s cigarette and tobacco tax returns.

* b. Communicate and coordinate with the appropriate personnel within the Corporate Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting department any approved by-item permanent standard cost changes so the appropriate item/location price file maintenance can be performed.
* c. Communicate any by item cost differences with the external vendor when Quik'N Tasty Foods, Inc.'s remittance amount will be different than the vendor's invoiced cost.
* d. Initiate any by-item permanent standard cost changes not requiring CSM approval (as established by business guidelines) directly with the appropriate personnel within the Corporate Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting department.

5. Vendor statement review and timely resolution of any disputed or outstanding items.
