Lead in the field
You will be the primary point of contact on the jobsite- a liaison between our client, building management, internal project teams, and subcontractors on field activities. You will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities, supervising field personnel, and ensuring deadlines are met.

What will you be doing?
Skyline's Superintendents are on the ground, directing operations at all sizes of job sites. You have a finger on the pulse of the progress of projects, anticipating shifting circumstances on the field and ensuring completion of projects in a safe and timely manner. Your progress in the field will be communicated to the client and Skyline's leadership.

Our teams use a variety of tools, such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft platforms to keep them on the cutting edge of construction management. Additionally, you will interact with professionals from all levels of the industry and, most importantly, our clients.
As Superintendent, you will serve in the following areas:Establish and maintain construction schedule, identifying and solving problems as needed.Direct all field personnel and activities in accordance with project schedule through completion of final punch list.Ensure the highest quality workmanship is provided.Order materials and schedule necessary inspections.Promote jobsite safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify jobsite hazards.Maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.Ensure compliance with company safety policy by all employees and contractors.
Desired Traits5-7 years of superintendent experience required.High school diploma required.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project.Strong organizational skills including maintaining an organized job site and construction office.Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas effectively during client interviews and project meetings.Professional interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities.Must present and conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of our company brand and culture.Strong writing and effective listening skills.Positive attitude.Ability to analyze problems and develop realistic and timely solutions factoring in risk, implications, and cost.Must be active on the jobsite to interact with subcontractors and validate work in progress.Must comply with the provisions of our Auto/Fleet Safety Program with a current valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily operation of a job site including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Supervises all direct labor positions on the assigned project.
• Manages and oversees any contracted work on the site to ensure successful project completion.
• Leading all facets of the project from ground breaking to completion.
• Managing all sub-contractors and keeping them on schedule.
• Using great discretion and knowledge to keep the project on budget.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of large ground-up commercial experience with a general contractor
• Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, & Takeoff exp.

Job DescriptionTraveling Commercial Superintendent If you are a Traveling Commercial Superintendent with experience, please read on!What You Will Be DoingThe Project Superintendent is responsible for the supervision of all field activities related to the physical construction. The Project Superintendent must assure that the combination of the Jobsite workforce components results in a cohesive product that achieves the required quality and is completed in the shortest possible time. To that end, the Project Superintendent must continually work to assure adequate staffing of the workforce, sufficient supply of materials, and complete information as necessary to assemble the product, and must plan for all these things sufficiently enough in advance so as not to interfere with the progress of any one component.

- Generating, securing, or otherwise confirming all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a continuing basis.
- Developing the progress schedule with the Project Manager.
- Participating in scope reviews of the various bid packages to properly coordinate their respective interfaces.
- Working with the Project Manager to develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, security arrangements, and other facilities and arrangements necessary for appropriate service to the construction effort.
- Identifying field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases.
- Monitoring and ensuring jobsite and subcontractor compliance with Safety Program.
- Determining whether subcontractors are providing sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitments.
- Monitoring the performance of the companys Purchasing and Project Engineering functions to ensure that all subcontracts, material purchases, submittals, deliveries, clarifications, and changes are processed in time to guarantee jobsite arrival by, or before, the times needed.
- Directing any company field staff, providing positive leadership to ensure that the field staff is properly motivated and inspired with a sense of accomplishment and purpose.
- Conducting weekly Subcontractor meetings to assess construction progress, quality, and safety.
- Preparing daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and all other regular and special documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs.What You Need for this Position- Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field preferred
- Minimum (10) years of progressive construction experience with emphasis on Superintendent roles;
- Minimum (5) years of experience in commercial construction or healthcare construction projects.What's In It for You- $90,000 - $130,000 base Salary
