The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the implementation of programs and trainings supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion along with their continuous improvement. The DEI Manager also serves as a consultant to the system leadership influencing and helping drive the system-wide DEI strategy. This role incorporates DEI expertise, end-to-end project management, and strong communication to confidently lead and guide our DEI efforts, all the while ensuring that positive change is implemented and experienced throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Director, Organizational Development and Engagement, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager will:
• Plan, design, and implement the Academy for Inclusive Excellence and other system-wide DEI trainings, processes, and interventions to improve the overall results of the organization through partnerships with unit leaders and HR partners
• Manage the Onboarding of International Professionals in collaboration with facility leaders, and internal and external recruiters
• Participate in creating policies that expand our DEI initiatives
• Assist leaders in formulating DEI strategy and implementing DEI programs in their divisions by providing consultation, specified trainings and employee coaching
• Participate in HR investigations to ensure that practice is aligned with DEI policy and best practice
• Assist with recruiting of talent from underserved populations by engaging various organizations and people groups
• Support programs that help to create career pathways for people from underserved populations
• Assess opportunities to link DEI with ongoing business and HR processes and initiatives
• Work cross-functionally often to integrate DEI on a deeper level across the UofL Health system
• Explore diversity issues by reviewing publications, benchmarking state of the art thinking, forming focus groups, conducting surveys, requesting internal and external input from those in a position to contribute, and measuring diversity tension
• Develop new DEI trainings in response to gaps and needs within the organization
• Create and manage with well-defined project plans for all trainings and coaching opportunities

The DEI Manager will partner with firm leaders and the DEI Team to support the implementation of an industry-leading diversity, equity and inclusion strategy. This individual will play a key role in driving critical firm-wide initiatives to success, with an orientation towards action and results. The DEI Manager will be a consultant and advisor to business unit and office leaders, affinity group leaders, local council leaders, and other stakeholders, and will run programming that supports the firm's DEI strategy, with a focus on running effective 1:1 mentorship, sponsorship and coaching programs, eliminating hidden barriers to success, addressing systemic inequities, and creating a mature DEI culture in which each leader is responsible for DEI success.
What You'll Do:

Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree required, and Juris Doctor or Master's Degree in business administration, leadership and organizational development and/or behavioral design preferred.Minimum of 3 years of diversity and inclusion work preferred. Experience working in a large law firm, professional services firm, or matrixed environment desired. Regularly interact with and build productive relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the Firm as related to DEI subject matter
