Requirements: 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager at a large hauling district. 10 years of leadership experience in a large maintenance shop. In-depth experience in fleet maintenance and repairs of refuse trucks and equipment. Outstanding teambuilding and communication skills. Ability to plan, budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, maintenance best practice, and industry standards. Working knowledge of routing software with solid analytical skills to optimize routes and productivity. Experience and understanding of budget preparation and financial accountability to manage P&L.     This position reports to the Gas Operations Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping. The collected gas is transported using gas conveyance equipment (such as a fan or blower). Landfill gas (LFG) collected by this extraction system from the landfill's wellfield is combusted within a flare. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with various State and Federal environmental regulations. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Properly operate and maintain GCCS in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance. GCCS operation and maintenance includes: Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to optimize LFG collection from the wellfield. Collect and manage data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations. Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan. Operate and maintain liquid management system pneumatic or electric driven pumps (troubleshoot and determine liquid levels within liquid containment structures and or LFG collection wells). Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data. Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materials. Complete the WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training. Develop basic understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations and develop the ability to work within an environmentally regulated industry. Follow job related health and safety requirements and procedures. Available for on-call response to GCCS related malfunction event(s). III. Qualifications A.     This Sr. Power Systems Test Engineer completes variety of technical jobs for Customers and provides applied electrical engineering and technical expertise for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, and repair. Responsibilities Complete Sr. Power Systems Field Test Engineer duties including but not limited to: Inspect, test, troubleshoot, commission, start-up and collect data for control circuits, instrumentation, and high voltage equipment (up to 765kV). Test Power Circuit Breakers, moderate complex relays, and metering. Program, test, calibrate electro-mechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor protection relays. Provide technical support and quality control for assigned projects. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures. Solid theoretical understanding of electricity and a good aptitude for problem solving. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and peers. Dependable and responsible with good judgment and organizational skills. Good customer service, time management and follow-up skills. Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues. Work will require overtime and regional travel. Plans for and reviews updates to construction and engineering standards. Conducts hydraulic system analysis including usage of and updates to water distribution computer model. Conducts on-site inspections and troubleshooting. Responds to service requests and acts as a technical resource and engineering subject matter expert for Business Development, Project Management, Operations and the Business Unit Assists in the preparation of an effective master plan and/or timely system improvement and replacement program. Other duties as assigned What You'll Bring Experience 1 - 3 years' Project Management experience At least 2 years of work experience as a Professional Engineer, preferably in a water and wastewater utility or engineering services company. Education, Licenses and Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure. Maintain a valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A strong commitment to, and working knowledge of, safety best practices Comprehensive understanding of engineering best practices in community municipal water/sewer utility operations and construction Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage the scope, budget, and schedule of projects. Result-focused, detail-oriented, customer-centric and self-motivated individual Ability to exercise independent, professional judgement and expertise in areas of responsibility Demonstrated ability to develop clear and coherent written proposals or project reports Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of communicating with the public in tactful, courteous manner. Business acumen with ability to engineer balanced solutions Experience utilizing standard procedures used in design and completion of projects, including construction techniques and equipment Experience in administering consultant engineering contracts and/or construction contracts Skilled in preparation of engineering plans, specifications, reports, estimates and contracts Knowledge of principles, theories and best practices of engineering in all phases of project preparation and completion Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and ability to learn internal software programs Proficiency with SCADA, GIS, and asset management programs is preferred Ability to perform physical duties such as occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs unassisted, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time: occasionally climbing, pulling, kneeling, twisting, turning, stooping, reaching, and bending. This may include extended driving periods of up to several hours. Work Environment Moderate degree of mental focus solving non-routine problems May require moderate intervals of mental focus or sensory effort for length of time greater than 4 hours. This position is exposed to a normal office environment as well as working outdoors in a water/sewer plant environment. This position may be exposed to loud noise, wastewater, chemicals, and high voltage where electrical shock is a potential hazard. Occasionally encounters extreme cold or hot conditions and potential contact with hazardous chemicals. Must wear/use all protective equipment where required including hearing protection, safety glasses, chemical suites and personal protective equipment when handling hazardous materials; must be OSHA compliant.
