POSITION SUMMARY: The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of the standards of nursing practice and objectives as it relates to the Minimum Data Set requirements and with the established policies and procedures of the governing body in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The MDS Coordinator is responsible for optimal reimbursement, proper documentation/diagnoses to justify the reason for a skilled service and reimbursement request.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinates/manages and works with clinical staff/therapy for proper documentation/care, programs and optimal reimbursement throughout the stay of a skilled resident
• Researches all pertinent medical information/diagnoses for optimal reimbursement
• Meet regulations for timely certifications/re-certifications, and signing of all orders
• Meet all requirements in working with Managed Care organizations
• Daily meetings with therapy and line staff on progress of skilled residents
• Monitors Nursing skilled documentation and provides continued education as needed
• Participates in the development and implementation of the resident assessment process, following the Minimum Data Set requirements of Federal, State and local regulations in accordance with Senior Living Communities/Wellmore policies and procedures
• Responsible for proper ADL Documentation and continued education/training
• Audits and analyzes the MDS documents for accuracy and appropriate completion dates.
• Timely submissions of all MDS's
• Oversees and schedules resident care planning meetings.
• Assistance on floor and on-call/manager on duty as needed
• Participates in and attend all required in-service training and education sessions as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Provide radiographic examinations for patients of all ages using diagnostic imaging modalities. This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental performance improvement program. Technologists also function as clinical instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program. Call required at times to meet departmental needs.
THE RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Specialty certification also preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: Current SC RN license or an RN license from a compact state required; CPI training provided upon hire.
