Duties/Responsibilities
* Plans new or modified installation to minimize waste of material
* Provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous or unreliable wiring consistent with specifications, local and national electrical codes.
* Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring.
* Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and assembles and installs electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader and conduit bender.
* Pulls wiring through conduit assisted by helper.
* Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads using knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
* Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
* Assist in the mentoring, training, and growth of other employee-owners.

* Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts using hand tools and power tools.
* Connects power cables to equipment such as electric range or motor and installs grounding leads.

* Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.

We are searching for a skilled and motivated EV Charging Field Service Electrician. Job Responsibilities
Performs electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across both residential homes and apartments, as well as commercial buildings. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service. Inspects electrical connections, panels, and other electrical systems for compliance with local and national regulations. Performs preventative maintenance repairs on all systems. Oversees complex repairs and train staff to complete complex repairs on all electrical systems. Completes repairs/replacements of routine general maintenance items and light plumbing, drywall, and carpentry work as needed. ·
Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems, and other electrical materials
Interpret existing building electrical wiring through visual inspections for best problem-solving practices
Install fixtures such as lights, receptacles, communication devices, breaker panels and junction boxes
Use saws and cutting equipment as necessary
Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing electrical wiring
Test electrical systems for shorts and other problems
Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair
Choose electrical materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building
Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes and NEC regulation codes
Write report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken
Perform inspections of electrical systems to identify and replace worn parts
Prepare bids and schedules and oversees other workers, such as apprentices and helpers
General maintenance work as needed or as directed by management
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on all electrical related systems, including but not limited to fire suppression systems, boilers, appliances.
Participate in all weather-related emergencies, including snow removal and other inclement weather preparedness and recovery operations.
Participate in the routine On-Call schedule.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend hours possible during busy turnover season and as weather and business needs require. Night manager on-call rotation for additional pay.
Required Education and Experience
Excellent communication skills
Must have ability to utilize mobile cellular device for many functions in this position.
Knowledge of apartment or home repairs or maintenance acquired by at least one year of experience.
Must have knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Panel replacement experience
Must have 3 years electrical wiring experience
Must have a Tradesmen license issued by the DPOR, or be able to obtain a Tradesmen license within 90 days of employment.
