Emagine Entertainment company history timeline
The company began in 1997, and it was first known as Cinema Hollywood (now known as Emagine Birch Run), where they branched off to be known as Emagine Entertainment.
Six of Muller's theaters were renovated and rebranded as Emagine in 2016, followed by the Rogers and Monticello locations a year later.
Emagine expanded into Illinois with a location in Frankfort in late 2016.
2 years later in 2018, the chain expanded into Wisconsin, opening a theater near Lake Geneva on August 28th.
Emagine opened a ninth Minnesota location, in Eagan, in 2019.
In July 2021, Emagine opened its first location in Indiana, purchasing the former 16-screen Goodrich Quality Theaters in Portage.
Continuing to innovate, in 2021 Emagine launched live music events, and the Emagine Sports Lounge, the first of its kind.
Emagine is ranked as the 9th largest theatre chain in North America according to the 2022 Giants of Exhibition report from The Boxoffice Pro, the premiere publication of theatrical exhibition.
In 2022, Emagine partnered with Caesars Sportsbook to rebrand the Emagine Sports Lounge into the Caesars Sportsbook Lounge Powered by Emagine.
