Role Description & Responsibilities The Robotics Applications R&D Team is looking for looking for a talented and motivated student intern who is majoring in engineering. Our applications are used for simulation and offline programming of industrial robots. Our team develops applications for rapid development of robot programs which can then be simulated accurately and translated into production robot programs. Our software translates simulations to and from 22 different robot programming languages. The translation is both logical (converting programming constructs) and spatial (converting positional data).
We are seeking an individual with interest in robotics and programming languages. The goal of the internship will be to research solutions to a challenging software engineering problem and try to find possible solutions. The challenges involve translating between programming languages and will require learning, or having prior experience with, Python, VB.NET, and industrial robot programming languages such as FANUC TP and ABB Rapid. The challenges will also involve using and possibly tuning AI models.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD IN Engineering or Computer Science
* Experience with C++, Python, VB.NET, or another programming language
* Basic understanding of AI models
* Plusses:
* Experience with 3D CAD, robotics simulation software or industrial robots.
* Experience with object-oriented programming and software design patterns
* Knowledge of Kinematics and a strong aptitude in physics and trigonometry.
* Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments

Position: Summer 2026 Engineering Intern
What You'll Do
Support the engineering team through project-based work at their direction. This may include:
Assisting with drafting and updating technical drawing and documentation,
Supporting project planning and execution for engineering initiatives,
Performing field work including pole numbering, inspection and data collection,
During all activities, the Engineering Intern will:
Collaborate with engineers and technicians on troubleshooting and repairs,
Maintain accurate records and reports of all work done,
Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE during field activities.
Performs other duties as assigned, including storm response with all Cherryland staff when the need arises.
What We're Looking For
Must be at least 18 years of age
Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering program (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field)
Available for full-time work during the summer internship period
Valid driver's license and ability to operate Cooperative vehicles, as needed
Willing and able to work on-site and reside within a reasonable response range of our headquarters in Grawn, MI

Technical Skills

The intern will assist the ADS team with building ML models through processing, curation, analysis and utilization of large-scale sensor data (e.g cameras, radars, IMU, LiDAR)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Help with image labeling and annotation tasks for training deep neural network perception models
* Find uniqueness and similarities in data by using unsupervised clustering methods and report findings to ML engineers in our team
* Support test vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition tasks
* Develop tools to automated data ingestion and processing tasks
* Assist developing new ML models particularly focusing perception tasks such as object detection and classification
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
* Create, curate and analyze large vision and/or multi-modal datasets
* Assist with development of AI/ML models for perception and end-to-end models
* Assist with test vehicle instrumentation and in-vehicle data logging to support our ML workflow
* Creation of technical reports and presentations to explain and document the results
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
* Currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate engineering degree with a focus on computer science, machine learning, computer vision, data science or a related field
* Knowledge of fundamentals in data analysis and exposure or willingness to learn or expand their knowledge machine learning workflows
* Curiosity and a willingness to learn large-scale data processing for building environment perception models for assisted / autonomous driving software development
* Experience programming in Python or C++

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining the resort's public buildings and spaces in accordance with Company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security. The hours for this shift are 2pm - 10pm.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frame in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the resort and its equipment.
Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, to include painting, carpet/floor cleaning, etc.
Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, including the repair and/or replacement of air conditioning units.
Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
