Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Assist in the mechanical design of new chemical monitoring and management systems, including modules, assemblies, and individual parts. Responsibilities include:
Creating detailed 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Preparing accurate technical documentation in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of two years of college
Experience in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with other team members.

Coordinate with Technicians and Electricians to complete assigned PM, troubleshooting jobs in timely manner
Assist Engineering team in Temperature Mapping of the stability chambers.
Provide assistance to external vendors as and when required
Assist and support Engineering team on day-to-day activities
Assist and support EHS team as and when required

We are currently searching for a Water Engineer Intern to support our team in Paramus, NJ. We are looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.
Role accountabilities:
The Water Engineer Intern will possess a strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to climate resilience and stormwater management. You will need to have technical aptitude and be familiar with various software tools such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, and PowerBI, which are beneficial for project work. You will need to be skilled in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting the management of projects involving stormwater management, green infrastructure, climate adaptation, and design of nature-based solutions. Additionally, you will need to provide valuable support in project management efforts including managing project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables.
In addition, the following will be expected of the Water Engineering Intern:

This position is for a candidate continuing their career path in Engineering for high technology product lines in Precision Optics and Specialty Fiber Optics. The Engineering Technician II will assist with product development, maintenance, and quality related tasks under the direct supervision of engineers but will be expected to carry out functions with increased autonomy. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, it may be required to travel to various locations including other Thorlabs entities and customer/vendor locations.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
* Assist in supporting the product line with a willingness to learn about products relating to thin film coatings, lenses, fiber optics, polarization optics, prisms, gratings, opto-mechanics, collimators, isolators, spectroscopy accessories, microscopy sub-assemblies, etc.
* Prepare solid models and technical drawings, generate controlled documents, and input data based on design proposals.
* Perform and aid engineers in product testing to ensure performance specifications are met.
* Formalize technical data such as qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, component maintenance manuals, etc.
* Perform liaison function between engineering team and all manufacturing operations for any related issues, problems, or improvements.
