Job Summary
The BlueFin Intern Program exposes engineering undergraduates to projects spanning wide array of engineering disciplines critical to the energy industry. Each intern is expected to provide specialized engineering support particularly focused in the areas Filtration, eel Reel , Flow Assurance, Hydrostatic Testing, Fluid Handling, Equipment Identification, Project Management Support, Drafting, and Hands-On Field Experience.
Our interns work in the field, the shop, and in the office environments to obtain experience at all levels that make up BlueFin. Time in the internship is broken up into three areas, which are: 1. Shop time, where interns help load and unload jobs, maintain inventory, and work alongside mechanics to ready equipment. 2. Office time, where interns learn about calculations, rig ups, drawings, procedures, costing, and scheduling while working alongside project managers. 3. Field time, where interns will apply what they've learned through a hands-on approach. Interns will also be assigned a project that will be turned in/discussed at the end of the internship.
Throughout the internship program, each intern will research a project-related topic and, upon completion of the program, present their findings to BlueFin employees.
