Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing. Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites. Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis. Required Qualifications and Education High school diploma or equivalent. Pursuing an Engineering, Geology, Environmental, or a related degree. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds. Work Environment This job primarily operates primary in a field environment in outdoor conditions, on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions. This role secondary operates in an office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
