Our Commercial Estimators spend 95% of their time in the office but do perform job walks and site visits as needed for bids and jobs that require it. Below is a brief description of what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform advanced HVAC takeoffs and input utilizing the estimating software.
Review all bid documents to determine the complete project scope.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, material, and labor estimates involved in projects using internal methodologies, techniques, and or processes.
Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data.
Assist in preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans and specifications.
Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and the actual cost.
Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, value engineering alternatives and compliance with strategic goals.
Attend job turnover meetings, and assure preparation of job turnover meeting materials. Attend job closing meetings.
Review material pricing provided by purchasing and suppliers, and adjusts estimating database and procedures accordingly.
Gather details and maintain current market data necessary to accurately estimate construction, material and soft costs associated with project construction.
Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.
Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of all standard HVAC systems in commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects.
Deep understanding of HVAC construction bid process and on screen takeoff platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
Required Characteristics:
Must have a strong work ethic and a “can-do” problem-solving attitude.
Must be an excellent listener and communicator.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.
3+ years' in Commercial/Industrial HVAC Estimating required
Bachelor degree in a Construction related profession or similar is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of California Building Code, SMACNA HVAC and Duct requirements, CA Title 24 and Mechanical code is required

Accurately prepares estimates. Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope. Establishes and coordinates completion dates and technical specifications in estimates for project teams. Specifically: calculates complete takeoff for scope of work using computer aided system; estimates manpower, equipment, and material needs; coordinates with field personnel to schedule work; and continually evaluates progress and results.

Position Summary
The Estimating Manager is responsible for supervising the estimating staff, managing project estimate deliverables, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all proposals related to. Regularly contact the Pre-Construction Departments of our targeted community of General Contractors to identify opportunities.

Work Environment: Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low levels of noise. Demands of meeting tight deadlines. May work various shifts or hours, including early mornings, dusk or evenings.
BASE SALARY RANGE:
$98,333.00 - $197,167.00
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.

The Collision Estimator is responsible for examining vehicles for collision related damage, document the time and effort required to repair and refinish vehicles back to pre-accident condition in accordance with Chilton Auto Body standards and insurance partner guidelines. Additional internal and business partner supported training a necessary. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE AUTO BODY COLLISION REPAIR INDUSTRY!!
Responsibilities:
Review with customers and walk-through the repair process: Greet customers by phone or in-person; explain to customers about the collision repair process, including insurance claims information, processing, and payment procedures. Educate customers regarding importance of CSI survey questions and maintain strong communication to cultivate positive CSI results.
Complete vehicle intake process: This includes mapping damage, photographing vehicles, and documenting files.
Prepare estimates and supplements: Review vehicle damage and prepare estimates. Prepare supplements based on additional damage found, including parts price increases. Ability to pull and review All data/OE procedures for Body Technicians as needed/required.
Follow DRP compliance: Understand and follow all insurance carrier Direct Repair Program (DRP) guidelines regarding all aspects of the repair.
Production Management: Support the location manager in the routing of each repair including disbursement of all paperwork, scheduling, monitoring repairs, negotiating repair times, coordinating sublet work and all other aspects of the repair.
Quality Assurance: Ensure Chilton Auto Body's quality standards are met throughout the repair process and before the vehicle is delivered to the customer.
File Documentation: Maintain real time accuracy of assigned work files and reconcile for customer delivery and file closing process.
Training: Complete assigned training through Collision University. Addition internal and business partner supported training as needed.

Minimum:

Purpose
The Senior Estimator will partner with the Outside Sales Representatives in preparing quotations for Municipalities, Contractors and/or Water Treatment Plants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Inside/Outside Sales to determine which projects will require formal quotations and to handoff all project documents during order initiation
Work on the more complex projects - Water Treatments plants, “big pipe”. In Plumbing, those would be manufacturing plants and large municipal projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
