Job Title: Estimator - Infrastructure (Grading & Paving / Civil work)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to support our infrastructure projects, including sewer systems, water pipelines, storm drains, pump stations, water tanks, and water and sewer treatment plants. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and cost documentation for future reference and project tracking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or 10 years of field experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Estimator in the civil or infrastructure construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating techniques.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Proficient in estimating software an.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

Technical / Specialty Area
Accurately prepares estimates. Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope. Determines required contents of estimates and evaluates historical data in order to project unit and man hour figures. Completes projects on time, in accordance to business and company standards, policies, and procedures.
Establishes and coordinates completion dates and technical specifications in estimates for project teams. Specifically: calculates complete takeoff for scope of work using computer aided system; estimates manpower, equipment, and material needs; coordinates with field personnel to schedule work; and continually evaluates progress and results.
Coordinates job set up by preparing breakdowns, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other required documents on procured projects. Reviews plans and field changes. Prepares change orders, as required.
Partners with Project Managers and Superintendents on problem resolution, implementing ongoing efficiencies, and improving ways of accomplishing project goals. Recommends and incorporates changes in procedures, objectives, or best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials.
Identifies, and acts upon, potential lines of business and new client prospects to assist with creating new business opportunities.
Builds and maintains positive client relationships resulting in increased business, repeat customers, and industry referrals. Communicates company and project policies, procedures, and standards. Gathers feedback and continuously makes improvements to work processes, practices, and equipment.
Assists in achieving a zero injury culture through the support of Teichert's Injury Prevention and Safety program and active participation in appropriate safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a safe, healthy work environment and meet corporate safety standards.
Completes internal administrative organization and documentation, including project logs, files, records and reports pertaining to Estimating function. May include bids, cost estimates, state and federal regulations and codes. Contributes to written and up-to-date estimating guidelines, manuals, and policies and procedures.

Position Summary
The Estimating Manager is responsible for supervising the estimating staff, managing project estimate deliverables, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all proposals related to. Regularly contact the Pre-Construction Departments of our targeted community of General Contractors to identify opportunities.
Evaluate opportunities to ensure we pursue projects with the best opportunity for success; are consistent with our business model; exploit our competitive advantages and can contribute margins consistent with the business plan.
Review all plans, P&ID's, specifications, and contracts prior to preparing the estimate to ensure any impacts on the work are identified.
Learn and operate a computer-based take-off and estimating system that can provide reproducible results.

Assist with budget preparation for initial project set-up and any priced change order work for the Project Managers.
Participate in the kickoff meeting; presenting the scope of work, work plan, budget, unusual requirements and any critical limitations on the scope of our work.
Monitor progress of the work for purposes of comparing actual production rates with bid rates.
Assist in preparation of project forecasts, claims and schedules; if required.
Assist in productivity tracking of labor units.
Lead weekly staff meetings for the purposes of identifying any scope deviations, monitoring production and forecasting future work.
Assist with developing alternate plans to recover projects where actual performance is not meeting budgeted plan.
Qualifications
Required
5-10+ years of hands-on estimating team leadership and people management experience.
10+ years of experience in cradle-to-grave estimating mechanical systems.
Experience in business development with new and existing clients and engaging in cross-selling opportunities.
Familiarity with various Estimating software (Autobid, Trimble, QuickPen, FastPIPE, etc.)
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
Preferred
Field/Craft experience.
Expertise in estimating and close of large-scale high-purity / process piping mechanical projects, ideally in the semiconductor or biopharmaceutical sectors.
Understanding of piping and installation of equipment.
Bachelor's degree in construction management or mechanical engineering, civil engineering or related field.
Physical Requirements

We are seeking an experienced demolition Estimator or hybrid project manager/estimator.

Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for demolition projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Bid Preparation: Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients, ensuring all requirements and specifications are met.
Site Assessments: Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide clear and accurate cost information.
Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the construction or demolition industry.
Skills: Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of demolition processes, cost factors, and industry best practices.
