About the Role
Under the direction of the Head of Schools, the Reading Interventionist carries out the primary responsibility for planning and delivering instruction based on Common Core Standards and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
If you are not trained in OG (Orton Gillingham) or Wilson, training will be provided!
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and deliver academic instruction, differentiating as necessary to address student learning needs.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of each student's learning challenges based on available records and current observable data. Formulate goals and objectives to address student needs and implement appropriate instructional programs to facilitate progress.
Assist the Behavior Specialist with monitoring the schoolwide Positive Behavior Training (PBT) management system at the classroom level.
Monitor each student's progress against content standards and IEP goals by administering formal and informal assessments, constructing a portfolio of student work samples, and maintaining records of student grades as applicable.
Conduct three formal parent-teacher conferences per year with follow-up written summary; communicate progress via phone and email as necessary.
Prepare and update written annual IEP goals and progress summaries.
Present progress and proposed goals at IEP meetings to district representatives, parents/guardians, and any other attendees.
Under the direction of the Mentor Teacher, serve as a test administrator for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress.
Co-facilitate weekly team meetings with the classroom Behavior Specialist.
Provide direction to the classroom assistant weekly to maximize efficiency in materials preparation, instructional delivery, and otherwise meeting student needs.
Attend all school staff meetings, academic department meetings, and IEP meetings.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Ensure that school policies and procedures are carried out.
Ensure that the CA Educational Code is adhered to.
Adhere to the CHC Employee Handbook.
Ensure the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Law are adhered to.
Protect the confidentiality of student and families.
Ensure maintenance of special education credential through required continuing education or pursuit of advanced degree.
Qualifications
Valid CA Special Education credential or ability to apply for an intern credential.
M.Ed. and/or advanced workshop-level training in teaching students with learning disabilities is preferred.
Recent classroom experience, preferably working with students with emotional/behavioral challenges and/or learning challenges. Understand the etiologies of students who have anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, mood dysregulation, and specific learning challenges.
Seek to work on an interdisciplinary team.
Practical knowledge/experience implementing Common Core Curriculum, Universal Design for Learning, and strategies for differentiation of instruction.
Demonstrated ability to identify accommodations and interventions that will facilitate an optimal learning experience for each student.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience preparing and presenting Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
Comfortable utilizing basic technology systems as part of daily duties (G-suite, Outlook, etc) and incorporating existing or emerging technology into instructional plans.
Strong classroom management skills.
Knowledge of core curriculum content and effective instructional strategies for teaching level.
Knowledge of a variety of appropriate assessment tools to identify students with special needs.
Ability to adapt and deliver curriculum to meet a broad range of learning needs.
Ability to establish and maintain data-driven progress monitoring systems and interpret data to inform teaching and make appropriate instructional accommodations/modifications to maximize opportunity for student progress.
Ability to develop, prepare, deliver, and monitor IEPs based on identified skill and behavioral deficit areas as well as Common Core standards.
Ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team and to provide guidance/supervision to teaching assistants/interns.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to undergo training and implementation of Pro-ACT crisis management system.
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods for instruction and supervision.
Special Job Requirements:
Ability to work certain evenings for scheduled events (Back to School Night, Art Show, Achievement Night, staff training, and IEP meetings, etc.)

Our BioAnalytical Sciences (BAS) Department is a world-class bioanalytical center of excellence for novel strategies, technologies, and methods that enable the development of life-changing medicines. We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. The successful candidate for this laboratory-based position will work closely with our scientific team to develop a highly selective plug-and-play immunoaffinity enrichment, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (IA LC-MS/MS) pharmacokinetic (PK) assay for a broad class of antibody-based biotherapeutic molecules. The project will utilize a range of high-throughput automation technologies to efficiently enhance sample preparation, paired with the latest state-of-the-art instrumentation.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented scientist with a commitment to producing high-quality work, possessing strong general laboratory skills and a general understanding of liquid chromatography (LC), and tandem MS methods.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
* The intern will focus on developing immunoaffinity (IA) LC-MS/MS based methods for assessing PK of biotherapeutic proteins from rat, cynomolgus monkey and human biological matrices.
* The intern will have access to and use targeted quantitative and proteomic workflows, such as HPLC coupled to Triple Quadrupole MS instruments and nano-LC coupled to a high-resolution MSn instrument.
* The intern will learn and perform automated, high-throughput sample preparation techniques.
* The intern will assess assay performance by conducting LC-MS/MS analyses and evaluate results using various data processing softwares.
* At the culmination of the internship, the intern will summarize and present their results at a Genentech intern poster session, as well BAS group and leadership team meetings.

* Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

The Mental Health Associate/Intern will provide on-site mental health services to formerly homeless children and their families living in permanent supportive housing in Pleasant Hill. The position can be part or full-time depending on your needs. Individual supervision, group supervision and training are all provided. Associates provide services in an on-site play therapy room, in family homes and in the community. Some evening and occasional weekend hours will be required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support formerly homeless children to reach their full potential (75%)
:
Provide milieu-based mental health services to
individual children
living in permanent supportive housing who are experiencing emotional challenges. Many of these children may be receiving EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment) services.
Provide on-site individual and group mental health therapeutic services to children.
Assist in delivering on-site parenting support groups to families.
Collaborate with case managers and the youth enrichment coordinator to provide support for individual children and their families, using a team approach. Assist with staff supervision of volunteer programs and community activities delivered to families served by CCIH. These may include evening and occasional weekend commitments.
Work with other staff members to provide community resources for families and individuals, such as social and health related activities, life-skills and employment support, and youth enrichment.
Stay on top of the paperwork and administrative details to keep the program running (15%)

Complete accurate and timely EPSDT chart notes for all services provided to children who are assigned under this contract.
Meet individual EPSDT contract goals for hourly billing, including averaging a minimum of 10 - 12 hours per week (depending on work schedule) of direct service to clients who are assigned under this contract.
Assist the services team with appropriate clinical documentation, including progress notes, service delivery documentation, reports, and forms.
Continuously improve your skills and work with team members and community partners to provide excellent services (10%)
Participate in weekly group and individual supervision, using that time to work on developing therapeutic skills and clinical knowledge, as well as exploring growth opportunities as a mental health provider.
Participate in clinical training as possible/needed.
Represent CCIH in a professional manner in all circumstances.
Maintain awareness of culturally diverse consumer populations and perform duties in a culturally competent manner.

Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling.
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an intern working toward licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft, and database applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT:
The Clinical Pharmacology Intern will be responsible for the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of PK/PD studies in support of molecules in nonclinical and clinical development. This individual will work with Clinical Pharmacology leaders on projects and provide support in designing the Clinical Pharmacology strategy with an emphasis on dose and regimen selection. The assignment will be related to core clinical pharmacology activities with specific tasks targeted to answer key development questions and achieve short-term goals for the department. The assignment will span a period of 10-12 weeks concluded with an internal presentation of results of project to leadership & publish the findings at a scientific conference.

* Strong training in PK/PD analyses with a preference for population-based modeling and simulation
