OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
Assist with the operation and upkeep of the campus farm and greenhouse facilities to support seasonal agricultural production and program needs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plant, cultivate, weed, and harvest crops in outdoor fields and greenhouses
Assist in preparing garden beds, composting, and managing soil health
Water, fertilize, and monitor plant health for greenhouse and field-grown crops
Operate basic farm equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
Assist with pest and disease monitoring and apply treatments as instructed
Support in maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety of the greenhouse and farm areas
Maintain records related to planting schedules, harvests, and crop care
Perform related tasks as assigned by the Farm Supervisor/ Director of Facilities

Standing for sustained periods of time, bending, stretching, walking up and down stairs (building has 6 floors), and around a hilly campus as needed, may also require walking between floors or between buildings at a moment's notice. May need to lift/move boxes up to 25 pounds and move or rearrange furniture.
Work Environment:
We are a boarding school located on a 127-acre campus. The work environment will include both indoor and outdoor spaces, mostly inside the classroom or educational environment. May include work within the residential setting. The building has 6 floors accessible by staircases and elevators.
