The Fiscal Specialist 2 takes a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.
This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating fiscal support for department managers and their units, HMC Payroll, process complex administrative Human Resource (HR) activities and special projects for Clinical Business Systems leadership.
The position requires a high degree of personal initiative and good communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth workflow, excellence of work standards and an active interest in providing strong customer service. The position also requires an ability to adjust to rapid change, all of which are continuing challenges.
The Fiscal Specialist 2 performs all duties in a manner that promotes a team concept and reflects the mission, vision, and values of UW Medicine and Harborview Medical Center.
The Fiscal Specialist 2 performs a variety of fiscal transactions related to accurate and timely processing of payroll for HMC employees in accordance with HMC policies and procedures. Will also provide services for HMC employees including explanation of policies and procedures related to their pay and investigation into possible pay discrepancies, including resolution where appropriate.
REQUIRED:
Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist I
AND
15 quarter hours
OR
10 semester hours of college level accounting
OR
equivalent education/experience.

Basic computer knowledge.
