The Gurney Van Driver will operate a gurney van equipped to provide nonemergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, private homes, dialysis units, doctor's offices, rehabilitation centers, etc. in a safe and timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers. • Operates Stryker gurney as needed for safe and comfortable patient transportation. • On arrival at medical facility, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas. • Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind. • Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required. • Completes reports at the end of a shift. • Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. Assists injured persons from first-aid kit until these services arrive. Completes company accident reports. • Checks all equipment for future readiness, maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and supplies, decontaminates vehicle interior after each transport. • Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation. • Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors, and coworkers. • Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor, or dispatch. Ensure no product is left behind at venues. - **Provide onsite customer service:** Interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience. - **Supervise temporary labor:** Instruct temporary associates how and where to deliver, pickup, load, or unload products onsite. Ensure that work is being performed as per the clients' requests and safely. - **Perform warehouse duties as needed:** Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks. Put items away and organize within the warehouse.
