In this role, you will:Sanitation and janitorial duties in support of the manufacturing of products such as Kibbles ‘n Bits, Gravy Train, and Ol' Roy. Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly review of clinical trials and/or post-marketing safety data for assigned products. Identify and evaluate new safety signals, performing individual case review and aggregate safety assessment as appropriate
  • Conduct regular reviews of individual safety reports from clinical trials or post-marketing sources
  • Plan, execute and interpret results for comprehensive signal evaluation analysis for designated products in consultation with the Risk Medical Lead and Global Program Safety Lead for the molecule.
  • Prepare and communicate findings from surveillance activities, safety assessments and/or other sources of safety data (e.g., Emerging safety issue, clinical trial SUSAR, product quality, medical affairs)
  • Support the Risk Medical Lead in responding to safety requests from regulatory authorities, affiliates and internal functions (e.g., Clinical Trial Managers, Ethic Committees/ IRBs) for assigned product(s)
  • Contribute to safety content for protocols in development and protocol amendments as well as to Clinical Study Reports as assigned by Risk Medical Lead or Global Safety Program Lead
  • Review and provide analysis to support key study-related documents, e.g., IB, ICF, SMC/IDMC; develop Risk Profiles for development and comparative products as needed
  • Support the preparation, maintenance, and review of safety sections of Reference Safety Information (Company Core Data Sheet, Investigator’s Brochure, Clinical Summary of Safety, Clinical Study Reports)
  • Contribute to literature search strategy for product(s) and conduct regular literature review, including assessment, interpretation, and preparation of results for inclusion into relevant safety documents, e.g., Periodic Reports
  • Prepare safety content and review periodic aggregate safety reports (PADER, PSUR/PBRER, DSUR, IND Annual Report, 6-month line-listings)
  • Support RML and GSPL in the development and updates of Risk Management Plan, Risk Minimization strategies (e.g., REMS), and benefit risk analysis
  • Manages the preparation and logistics for weekly SERM safety meetings, cross-functional Global Safety Team and co-license partner joint meetings discussing safety concerns and analytic plans. May present signal analysis strategy and results at these meetings
  • May represent Safety Evaluation Risk Management in Global Safety Risk Management and perform other Pharmacovigilance tasks including process improvement work groups and initiatives, and contribute/lead to special projects, as assigned

Requirements:

• Medical/clinical degree (board certified/board eligible or ex-US equivalent), PhD in a relevant area, PharmD, MPH/MSN, or BSN degree

• 4 years relevant industry experience, 2 years in Pharmacovigilance & Risk Management preferred
  • Working knowledge of pharmacovigilance regulatory guidance in US, Canada, Europe, and other regions
  • Working knowledge of pharmacovigilance practices and tools (e.g., ARGUS database, Spotfire, MedDRA, WHO-Drug and Signal detection tracking tool)
  • Proven medical and scientific judgement, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively cross culturally and cross functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently
  • Ability to support multiple products, potentially in different phases of development, in parallel

About the Role:

We are looking for passionate applied scientists who are excited to solve challenging and open-ended problems in the creation of automated safety products. As an applied scientist on Twitch's Community team, you will help us better understand user behaviors of user-generated content. You will develop intelligent products using machine learning (ML) models with a world class engineering team. You will help ensure that creators and viewers on Twitch can build thriving communities. You will spend most of your time developing ML models and putting them in production to solve real-world.

You Will:

* Build machine learning products in the safety world to protect Twitch and its users from bad behavior such as followbotting, spam, phishing, and violent or illegal content.
* Work with the Community engineering and product management team to create flexible data pipelines and ML-based services.
* Research, prototype, develop and productionize ML techniques.
* Experiment with new techniques to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible to keep our communities growing on Twitch.
* Endeavor to use the right tool for the job. If a simple model works, use that one. If not, look into the state-of-the-art.
* Continue to learn new things on the job, whether about machine learning, software engineering, or safety. You will do this with the help and support of our entire team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

You Have:

* PhD / MSc Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or similar quantitative field OR equivalent hands on experience. We welcome applicants with non-conventional backgrounds ( e.g. bootcamps ).
* Hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis
* 1+ years of experience building ML models for NLP, deep learning, bot detection, anomaly detection or others
* 1+ years of experience in a general purpose programming language: Python, Go, C/C++, Java, etc

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bonus Points:

* PhD with specialization in ML
* Width and some depth of knowledge of ML algorithms. You know the landscape of ML and there is at least 1 area you are passionate about.
* Software development skills
* Experience shipping models in a production setting
* Familiarity with AWS/other cloud-computing services
* 1+ years of experience working on a safety or fraud prevention team (not necessarily as a scientist)
* Are a Twitch user who cares about the safety of our communities

The base pay range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut, Washington and New Jersey is $142,800 - $193,200 yr and in New York City is $164,200 - $212,800 yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
