Changes battery in material handling equipment and follows proper battery room procedures. Attend and participate in training classes. Assist in all housekeeping functions in order to maintain a clean and safe work area. Performs other duties assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to efficiently operate mobile and stationary computer equipment as required to maintain inventory records. Must be a trained and BEF certified lift truck operator. Must be able to safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment including lift truck, powered and manual pallet jack, pull pack attachment, clamp attachment and powered sweeper. Must be knowledgeable of all battery room equipment and procedures. Must understand and know how to operate trailer refrigeration units. Must be knowledgeable and accurate in basic mathematics. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be knowledgeable of all safety rules and procedures and be willing to follow them. Must be physically capable of performing all duties.

Palletizer Machine: Monitor palletizer to ensure all product exiting has the correct labels and cartons. Adjust or report any mechanical problems to maintenance and management.
Label Machine: Check labels on cans periodically. Ensure labels match the product currently running. Pull damaged labels and cans off the line. Add hot melt glue to machine when needed. Ensure that the Tensor ID Vision System is turned on and operational.
Depalletizer Machine: On Line 1 and 2, collect dented cans for donation per protocol and throw away all others. Remove all swells, buckles, rust, and dented cans from pallet and dispose of correctly. Record all cans taken from the pallet on indirect labeling record.
Casing Machine: Replenish by keeping casing machine's carton in feed conveyor filled with cartons. Operator must ensure that the cartons are correctly oriented in the machine.
Communication: Keep open communication with stock controllers and supervisors to ensure the accuracy of documentation. Notify correct parties when changes occur.
Documentation:
Palletizer Machine: Turn in all daily reports to the stock controller at the end of your shift. Record, change and ensue that the correct pallet tag information is input into the Brye Tag System in order to print the correct pallet tags.
Label Machine: Validate all documentation associated with the position and turn into office. Depalletizer Machine: Ensure/verify pallet tags with can codes. Document product start times and tag information on indirect label record. All tags must be turned in with indirect sheet when changing products or end of day. Properly scan each pallet tag to production in Red Prairie system.
Casing Machine: Accurately record and change the day code and Best By information for the case printer on each line.
Changeover Duties:
Palletizer Machine: Operator is responsible for performing changeover duties for palletizer machine including but not limited to safely entering machine to clear cans and other foreign material as well as cleaning surrounding area to ensure a safe work environment.
Label Machine: Operator is responsible for performing changeover duties for labeling machine including but not limited to utilizing lock out tag out procedures, safely entering machine to clear cans, labels, or glue, Operator is expected to maintain customary good housekeeping and safety practices in the performance of work assignments.
Depalletizer Machine: Operator is responsible for performing changeover duties for depalletizer machine including but not limited to utilizing lock out tag out procedures, safely entering machine to clear cans and other foreign material as well as cleaning surrounding area to ensure a safe work environment.
Casing Machine: Operator is responsible for performing changeover duties for caser machine including but not limited to utilizing lock out tag out procedures, safely entering machine to change and adjust machine parts, replenish glue pots, cleaning surrounding area to ensure a safe work environment.
Equipment: Palletizer, label, depalletizer, casing machines, any newly added equipment and any components associated with Labeling and Distribution.
Safety, Housekeeping, Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Forklift Driver (Checker II)
The responsibility of this position is to safely operate a powered industrial lift truck. Checker II drivers are responsible for several areas within the distribution center (DC) including but not limited to warehouse stacking, communication, documentation, and reporting duties associated with the related job duties. Employee is to remain in compliance with all approved / applicable safety rules, good manufacturing practices and engineered labor standards while working in the DC facility.
Set Up: Set up and load rail/truck shipments using proper standard operating procedures and standard loading procedures. Operator is responsible for setting up stock for label line positions.
Equipment: Operate platen push-pull lift truck equipment when required.
Shipping: Responsible for activities related to the shipping office window directing carriers and processing paperwork on as as-needed basis. Responsible for proper bracing and sealing of the load.
Inventory: Responsible for maintaining the stock locator system.
Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors and employees on any changes that may occur while on task.
Safety, Housekeeping, Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
Special Requirements:
Must have basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a quick paced environment, while working well with others and promoting a positive attitude. Powered industrial lift truck certification.

Qualifications:
HS or GED
Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
Must have 5-7+ years Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to pass a Multi-Craft Aptitude Test (Mechanical and Electrical).
Must be a current certified OSHA forklift operator.
Must be able to work any shift and weekends/OT as required.
Must be able to work in a quick paced environment, while working well with others and promoting a positive attitude.
Powered industrial lift truck qualification.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to climb stairs, stand, stoop, walk, occasionally to frequently.
Must be able to wear protective equipment- Safety steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
Must have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner. Although DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, you must maximize space when loading freight.
Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
Properly document all freight control processes
Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs
Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual
