Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Characterize the geologic conditions, hydrologic character, contaminant types and distribution to evaluate risks and provide input for the design and optimization of appropriate remedial measures.
Design and execute hydrologic testing to define the character of groundwater aquifers and the fate and transport of contaminants (where present).
Support project planning and execution in accordance with established policies, procedures, and requirements including Federal and State regulations.
Communicate field results and recommended course of action to project managers, client representatives and regulatory personnel.
Serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level staff, work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelors' degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
10 to 15 years of experience in the environmental field.
Licensed as a Professional Geologist is desirable, preferably in California.
Experience supporting DoD and CERCLA-funded projects.
Possess 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to project sites and APTIM offices as required.
