Position Overview:We are looking for a TC Helper to support our metal processing and heat treatment operations. This role primarily involves stripping beads from wires in a segregated area off the main factory floor, along with assisting in other manufacturing areas such as the airfoil braze department. This is a physically demanding and repetitive position that requires strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and eager to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strip beads from wires in a back-room setting.
Assist with moving parts to the airfoil braze station after unloading from heaters.
Maintain safety standards, including the use of steel-toe shoes and company-provided safety equipment.
Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Potential for promotion to airfoil braze operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Strong hand strength and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a warm, noisy environment.
Must pass a skills test, drug test, and background check prior to employment.
Punctuality is critical; excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in dismissal.

Reports To: Foreman and Management Team
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Ground worker that will complete all tasks to prepare, pave and clean-up railroad crossings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be on time everyday
Arrive at truck to leave ready to work, boots on with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Help maintain equipment including cleanliness
Unload and load equipment
Replace and anchor rubbers
Help pave crossing to Vorst Paving quality standards
Ability to run small equipment
Clean crossing, flanges, and road
Always maintain a safe work environment and work safely
Communicate with crew and foreman
Performs all other duties as assigned by Foreman or Management Team
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience - High School Diploma, High School Equivalence Certificate, or experience to compensate. Two or more years of work experience in construction field is preferred.
Other Qualifications - Valid driver's license is required; Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time; Overnight stays may be Must be able to pass required tests, random screenings (drug and alcohol) and training including DOT physicals. Must be able to pass all FRA regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to shovel, rake, float, pack, run small equipment repeatedly on hot asphalt throughout an 8-to-12-hour shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Must be able to move large chunks of asphalt.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; hot temperatures from asphalt and being outdoors; moving construction and railroad equipment/trains; fumes from petroleum derived products. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Due to jobsite hazards, employees are required to wear PPE. PPE required is as follows:
Hard Hat, Safety Vest, and Safety Glasses are provided by Vorst Paving
You are responsible for lace-up steel-toed boots at least 6 inches high, Short-sleeve t-shirt (long sleeves are acceptable but no cut-offs or tank tops), long pants that completely cover your legs, do not have excessive holes or rips, and are of a material to withstand paving.
During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working, it is still required.
The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Laser Helper, you'll assist a Laser Operator by handling material prep, basic machine support, and general shop assistance in a fast-paced fabrication department. Key tasks include:
Loading and unloading sheet metal and other materials onto laser cutting equipment
Removing and organizing finished parts per job specifications
Inspecting parts to confirm quality standards
Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of the laser machine area
Supporting minor machine adjustments and program edits
Using calipers and other measurement tools to verify product accuracy
Maintaining a safe, organized work area and following all safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints or drawings
Basic computer proficiency for logging work or editing simple entries
Familiarity with calipers or other precision measurement tools
Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 70 pounds
Attention to detail and willingness to follow all safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
Exposure to laser equipment or automated fabrication machinery
Ability to interpret or modify machine programs is a plus
