The Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) plays a critical role in clinical research by supporting the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting clinical trials. Duties and Responsibilities: The Sub-Investigator:
Attends Site Initiation Visits and/or training in-service for all current protocols.

Reviews lab results, provides clinical significance for any out-of-range or abnormal values, and signs off as appropriate.
Evaluates appropriateness of patient inclusion into trials; order repeat labs if necessary, or screen-fail patients as needed. Counsels' patients on seeking appropriate medical care when necessary.
Reinforces study restrictions, diets, and study guidelines.
Reviews and provides insight into impending CRFs, electronic CRFs, data clarification forms, and/or data queries.
Reviews source documents, lab results, and procedures throughout the study.
Assesses adverse events and drug reactions, thoroughly recording details, including the relationship to the study drug.
Assists in reporting any serious adverse events (SAEs) to the PI.
Participates in monthly staff meetings.
Reads and understands the information in the Investigator's Brochure (IB), including the potential risks and side effects of the drug.
Performs Clinical Research Coordinator duties.
Occasional travel to Company sites, Investigator meetings, and/or Company meetings.
Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by your manager.

In-depth knowledge of federal regulations regarding responsibilities of a Primary or Sub- Investigator. The Besterman Coastal Ecology and Kraskura Ecological Physiology Labs in the Biological Sciences Department at Towson University (Maryland) are seeking to hire a ResearchAssistant (Contingent II staff) for a 1-year position (with option to renew for a second year). The ResearchAssistant will spend about 90% of their time in the Besterman Lab and 10% of their time in the Kraskura Lab, and will contribute to initiation and management of multiple research projects in addition to field work; wet lab bench work; dry lab bench work; animal husbandry; data sensor and field instrument deployment and maintenance; and data entry, management and analysis, and ideally GIS analysis.
The position will be funded by a combination of lab start-up and grant support (internal and external). The Besterman Lab investigates dynamic changes in tidal salt marsh ecosystem structure and function, and consequences for habitat provisioning for marsh-breeding birds. Besterman-Lab research involves weekly collaboration with external academic, NGO, and governmental project partners. The Kraskura Lab explores how fish and other aquatic animals respond to environmental stressors including temperature and salinity fluctuations, hypoxia, altered flows and toxicants.

* Seasonal field work in tidal marsh ecosystems. Overnight travel to eastern shore of Maryland field sites expected for majority of June and July with potential for additional trips in other months.

* Collection of soil, water, and vegetation samples.

We are seeking a ResearchAssistant to support soil science and soil microbiology research activities requiring an advanced level of knowledge and laboratory experience in soil science and soil microbiology. The ResearchAssistant performs skilled, administrative, and managerial support in research. Plans and directs certain phases in a research project.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of various research projects. Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data. Perform cultural practices for field and greenhouse experiments.

These include physical fitness and recreational facilities, campus recreational programming- club sports and intramurals, and outdoor and adventure programming and marketing. We are looking for individuals with experience and passion for one or more of these areas. Throughout the interview process, it will be determined which applicant will be hired for area specific area. Supervision Received: Reports to the Coordinators of Recreational Programs. Given: Student workers in Recreational Sports. Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior approval of the Human Resources Director.

Time Frame of Assistantship:
The successful graduate student can work, while continuing to meet required qualifications as well as satisfactory performance in the graduate program and in the assistantship area.
