Dairy Queen grill operator job description

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Ability to work a minimum of 32-40 hours per week

*Must be available 9am-5pm Monday-Friday

*Weekends only as needed

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
  • Ability to handle raw, frozen and cooked food products as well as products in and out of temperature danger zone (41-140 F).

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

• Accurately complete orders and guest transactions

Function:

• Sit, stand, and walk continuously

  • Prepare all our Hot food items including prep station, broiler and fryers.

• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders

• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead

• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation

• Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing

• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment

• Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens

• Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment

In this position you would be...

Responsible for assisting the bartender with any prep-work, stocking, running, and cleaning, while following local health department standards, Suburban Inns' Core Values, and Suburban Inns, as well as going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.

Essential Functions:

+ Report to work in professionally appropriate attire, presented neat and clean

+ Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued

+ Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further

+ Inspect bar prior to shift for adequate supplies

+ Stock glasses, liquors, beers, and wines

+ Refill garnishes and mixes

+ Wash glasses at the bar

+ Change kegs

+ Assist the bartender with any job-related tasks requested by them

+ Restock bar at the end of the night

+ Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as possible, but also follow the One More Step guidelines by taking charge of the issue and offering solutions

+ Request supplies as needed

+ Change sanitizer in bar area every two hours

+ Help with closing procedures of the bar

+ Assist with deep cleaning and routine maintenance of bar equipment
