Alta Hospitals System is currently seeking an Behavioral Health Administrator to focus on hospital inpatient Behavioral Health care. The Administrator, Behavioral Health will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations, managing, and developing staff, assuring high-quality inpatient care, and sound fiscal operations.
Job Responsibilities/Duties

Achieves performance as it relates to patient quality, financial, and operational indicators. Leads the hospital towards becoming a High-Reliability Organization along with a focus on the Culture of Safety. Lead initiatives and strategies to focus on retention ad employee engagement. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with the Medical Staff, Executive Management Team, and other Administrative Directors. Contribute to strategic planning activities. Works with the regional business development team to evaluate/implement new services or programs. Develops policies and procedures for the effective operation of hospital services in the assigned areas; initiates corrective action if services do not meet established standards. Serves as liaison with medical, nursing and support services to develop and effectively implement plans for patient care. Conducts operational studies to recommend adjustments in the organization, staffing, systems, and procedures. Investigates and resolves complaints from patients, hospital staff, and the general public. Develops managerial skills of line managers and supervisors in the hospital policies, procedures, and management practices. Develops plans for reorganization or decentralization of hospital services; and supervises the implementation of the changes. Interprets and uses data to drive initiatives and manages inpatient care related to program development, performance improvement, and strategic planning. Assures that clinic operational policy and practice is consistent with compliance with licensure, regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:


Bachelor's degree with a major in public health, public administration, healthcare administration, social work, psychology, or counseling and three years of related professional work experience that included program administration or budget/contract management that involved lead work or supervisory work experience. Preferred Master's degree in Health Administration or Master's Degree (Ph.D., LMSW, LCSW, LPC).


Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years in a leadership position managing a behavioral health facility or hospital.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: Clerical work experience preferred.

Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills: Immediate computer skills Word Excel and the ability to run reports as required.

The Job Opportunity and Duties…

* Acts on behalf of the Mental Health Administrator 4 (MHA4) in their absence Works in conjunction with the MHA4 to coordinate institutional behavioral health care services (e.g. contract services and monitoring, training, and operational issues within behavioral health care operation)
