Organization The school expects its coaching staff to put maximum effort towards organizing and managing a multifaceted program that includes ownership of communicating needs with lower-level coaches and the Athletic Department administration, including everything from transportation needs, gear and equipment tracking, hiring assistant coaches, designing team events, maintaining accurate rosters and athlete paperwork, practice schedules, schedule changes, and game day expectations and logistics. Leadership Diligence, enthusiasm, honesty, and a love for the game are all part of the professional pride that any coach should exhibit. Dressing appropriately for practice, creating and following practice schedules, and building positive attitudes are very important. Under the general supervision of a Shift Sergeant, the officer will engage in proactive and responsive measures to ensure safety and security through a courteous, helpful, unbiased and professional manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Protective Services * Routinely patrol campus and other properties under jurisdiction on foot, motor vehicles or other authorized bikes and transportation. Watch for unauthorized persons, suspicious or criminal activities, disturbances and violations through regular patrols and monitoring of camera systems * Secure (lock and unlock) campus facilities per directives. Conduct security and safety checks and patrols of all buildings and campus grounds. * Observe and report safety hazards to appropriate personnel and departments. * Observe weather conditions on and around campus property and report dangerous or unusual weather-related activity to management for timely response and communication. * Respond to and manage all emergencies and disasters on campus.
