Job Summary:
Performs duties to set up, adjust, and simultaneously operate Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Testing machines to continuously test tubing for weld and steel defects. Receives direction and instruction from Shift Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts safety inspection of load slings, cranes and forklift before operating. Reports all concerns to shift Supervisor.
Operates overhead crane and forklift with utmost care and safety.
Does not move loads over employees' heads.
Hook and unhook all lifts of material so that lifts are balanced properly.
Confirms that tubing presented to the tester conforms to order requirements, particularly the job number and dimensions, and that previous required operations have been completed.
Sets up and adjusts guides and tables.
Sets up and adjusts tester pinch rolls; selects, installs, and centers test coil; manufactures tester reference standard; adjusts and operates test instrument and demagnetizing control to satisfy eddy current testing requirements.
Selects, installs, and adjusts transducers, shoes, speeds and feeds, to satisfy ultrasonic testing requirements.
Segregate discrepant material from prime product. Verify defective tubing is automatically rejected by the Testers.
Accurately and legibly complete product tags and production and inspection reports.
Bundle tubing for shipment to customers.
Refer concerns about tubing quality or equipment condition to Shift Supervisor.
Use common hand tools, micrometers, and straightness gage.
Communicate with employees of other shifts regarding status of operations, equipment, etc.
Assists maintenance repairmen in repair of testers.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Various other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Qualified as a Material Handler and Straightener/MAG Operator.
Good mechanical aptitude.
260 to 520 hours on the job probationary period.
Passing grade on job qualification exam and satisfactory demonstration of ability to perform duties of the job.

Operates molding machines following all work instructions. Handles molded parts and assembles if necessary. Performs inspection of each finished part and packages per customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read, and follow all Operator Work Instructions.
Ensure all molded parts that are produced to the correct specifications and are free of defects based on established quality specifications and documentation.
Document scrap parts on Shift Report or Shop Floor Communication Cart.
Pack all finished parts as instructed to customer requirements.
Ensure product is properly labeled.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and policies.

Position Overview
Dormitory Parents are the heart of daily life at ORCA. Working in direct support of the Executive Director, Dormitory Parents provide a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment for students. They model Christian living, guide boys toward respectful and responsible behavior, oversee meals and house and farm chores, and ensure the dorm operates smoothly. This is both a calling and a career-an opportunity to impact the lives of young men for eternity.
Key Responsibilities
· In a mature and Christ-like way, model and teach biblical principles of respect, responsibility, and faith at all levels
· Supervise and guide the daily life of students in the dormitory
· Oversee student routines including meals, hygiene, chores, study hall, and recreation
· Provide instruction and accountability for farm chores and grounds care
· Prepare nutritious meals, plan menus, and oversee food inventory
· Ensure health, safety, and discipline consistent with ORCA's policies
· Support students at church, school functions, and community activities
· Maintain records (evaluations, medication, forms, van checks, etc.)
· Work closely with the Executive Director and other staff to maintain a consistent Christ-centered environment
Mandatory Qualifications
· A true follower of Jesus Christ, committed to living and modeling a Christian lifestyle
· A clear calling to help troubled boys grow in faith, respect, and responsibility
· A mature and strong character marked by integrity, patience, humility , and forgiveness
· Ability to manage a household, including cooking, cleaning, and organization
· Commitment to maintaining a safe, structured, and loving dorm environment

· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to handle basic first aid and administer student medications
· Ability to pass a background check and meet all child safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
· Experience in teaching, mentoring, counseling, youth ministry, or residential care
· Skills in meal planning, food preparation, and household budgeting
· Knowledge of adolescent development and behavior management
· Ability to maintain facilities, vehicles, and grounds
· Comfortable working with farm animals and supporting agricultural chores
· Previous experience in a Christian school, foster care, or youth program setting
