    INSTALLER / FOREPERSON BROOKLYN GRANGE DESIGN/BUILD/MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT Brooklyn Grange seeks an experienced builder and installer to join our Design/Build/Maintenance department, which is charged with the design, construction, and maintenance of varied green spaces. This position will support the Lead Installer in executing urban landscape and hardscape projects. Key responsibilities include assisting with the onsite construction of landscaping and hardscaping, following construction-related drawings, and working as part of the crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. The Installer is a skilled builder with experience in hardscaping, construction, and preferably landscaping and other trades projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and a creative problem solver who can uphold Brooklyn Grange's standards throughout all phases of a green space buildout. Applicants should be positive and passionate about green spaces and sustainability, and should have experience contributing to construction projects from initial load-in to final punch list. The Installer will report directly to the Lead Installer and work under their guidance. SCHEDULE: The Installer's schedule will consist of Monday through Friday work, approximately 40-45 hours per week. Installations typically begin at 7:00AM. The role is year round. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the construction of professional hardscape and landscape installations, including decks, fences, pergolas, pavers, planter boxes, patios, green roof systems, etc. Manage onsite construction and landscaping teams, safely according to OSHA guidelines. Review and follow project documents, drawings, designs, and materials specs under the guidance of the Lead Installer and leadership of Design/Build/Maintenance Work closely with and support the Lead Installer to help keep projects on track and maintain high-quality standards. Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route power cables to servers, switches, and other equipment, adhering to electrical safety standards. Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route fiber optic and copper cables for high-speed data transmission, ensuring precise cable management and minimal signal loss Set up and install power distribution units (PDUs), ensuring redundancy and proper load balancing to prevent power issues.
